Cartier price increase thread *please include your location*

Hi all,

I was at London Heathrow harrods Cartier and went to confirm my size so when my partner flew out after January he would purchase this as a gift to me...
The sales associate did tell me after Brexit that duty free would be affected. Now I’m not sure if it’s true or not, but I panicked and my fiancé said to purchase it, so I did.
The cost was about $6813 USD or $5000 GBP. The price would go up to $6000GBP after January.
I figured even in LA I would have purchased this for $6550 plus 10% sales tax so I’d save a few hundred dollars.
What did you guys purchase your items for and where?

Yes it’s true ,no duty free and brexit might increase the price as well .

Well, sort of. You technically have to declare it upon returning to the United States. I'm not sure how much if any duty there would be on it, but this notion that things from overseas are "tax free" isn't entirely true.

trinity ring special edition went from 930€ to 960€;
small clash ring WG from 2.200€ to 2.260€;
pasha steel watch 35mm from 6.000€ to 6.150€ and so on...

I asked my SA today and he said there will be a price increase if the issue is not resolved, but he wouldn’t give me an exact date.

Not really- see attached. Maybe the Love as it contains: 8205.40.00 Screwdrivers and base metal parts thereof

Besides of that they can move production to Switzerland are out of these issues.
