Cartier Love Bracelet Sizing Thread!

My recommendation, from experience, is to not go above 2 cm if you’re going to stack. Cartier recommends 1 cm above for a snug fit, 1.5 for a perfect fit, and 2 for a loose fit.

A few years ago I purchased bangles 2.5 cm above my wrist size (two Loves sz 18 and one JUC 17) because I really liked the look of a looser fit and didn’t mind the movement. My Love bracelet closest to the JUC developed a ridge along the entire top edge from banging into the JUC and the nailhead on the JUC flattened on the outer edge.

That didn’t bother me but I know it might be a concern for others. I ended up losing weight so they became 3.5 cm larger than my wrist. That’s where the trouble started. My JUC kept falling off because it would get stuck on its side over my boney wrist and the pressure would push down and release the clasp. (Hope I’m making sense)

I could live with the Loves being big but I couldn’t stand when they got stuck on their side on my upper arm.
I didn’t want to risk losing the JUC so I sent them all in to get resized. I chose to go down 2 sizes so when they come back they will be considered a “perfect” fit.

Sorry for the long reply. Hope this helps those who are unsure about what size to go with.
Can you explain how your resize process went? Time and fee and whatnot?

I have a question about sizing, if I can please ask you ladies. My left wrist (where I plan on wearing Love bracelet) measures 15cm. What would be a good size, if I don't want bracelet too snug but not loose either? Thanks.

Also, does sizing make a difference if you plan to stack (wear more than one of the same bracelet)
Hi, my wrist is same size 15cm as yours, I recently bought a JUC, I went in with the thought of size 17 after reading tons of info in fb n forums but after I tried on 16 & 17, I ended up with size 16 JUC and love it! Its not tight (like a watch fit) and not too loose either, I can fit one finger in between the juc n my wrist. My future Love bracelet would be size 17cm.
Hope this helps

I’ll try my best. :)
I brought my JUC in for an estimate last September and my two Loves in October to the Cartier store. The estimate came back shortly after. (Maybe two weeks?) I believe the store sent them either to NYC or Paris for the estimate. I can’t remember. The estimate explains the work to be done, time frame and cost which was 30% of the current selling price. Once you agree to the terms, the bracelets are sent to Paris to be worked on.

The time frame estimated for my JUC was 24 weeks and was ready for me to pick up in 12. I paid at the time of pick up.

My Loves were estimated to take 20 weeks and my all gold one was ready in 12 and I’m still waiting for my 4 diamond one. Now that I think about it, it’s been about 20 weeks now. I should call and check on it.

I will add… when I received my estimate for the Loves, the service assistant gave me the option of paying 30% for new Loves from the store if I didn’t want to wait for the work to be done and if I wasn’t intent on having the same serial number. (I could have walked out of the store with two new Loves in the size I wanted)
It was tempting and I’m not attached to my serial #’s in any way but since my JUC was already sent in, I decided to have the work done and wait for my Loves.

Another thing I will add, all three of my bracelets were sized down by 2 sizes. I believe the cost is 30% of the selling price no matter if you size up or down. The 30% was a promotion from their usual 60% fee but when I picked up my JUC I was told it was such a hit, they were keeping it at 30%.

Hope my info helps. If you have any more questions or need clarification, let me know.

Edit: so sorry. It’s a 30% fee, not 3%!

Hello all, first of all I don’t post much, but I did ask for advice last October before the price increase (thank you for the replies). I then flew to London and got what I wanted because there’s no Cartier store where I am. But I just want to add this if it helps - my right wrist is 15.3cm (give and take .1cm) and I could go for 16cm or 17cm regular Love. I was undecided for the longest time, tight or loose fit. But because I had the intention to get a thin JUC too, and wanted to wear that nearer to the wrist, the SA totally could not put on the thin JUC 15cm on for me and we thought for a moment it would snap! So that helped me massively to decide on regular love 17cm instantaneously. And I’m glad I chose 17cm regular Love. HTH! 1AB5EE2A-F9EF-4CD2-AE1D-A3F6F6BABFD5.jpeg

That is very very helpful. My wrist measures 16.3cm so 18 will be good. I’m supposed to get it next week.

Hi all! I'm here once again in doubts regarding my love sizing choice
I purchased and have been wearing a small love in size 18 for the past few years. I initially got size 17 following SA's advice and hated the snug fit, luckily I was able to exchange for 18. All these years I've been looking at regular loves and finally realized that's what I wanted instead of the small love, so a few days ago I purchased the regular love in size 18 without giving much thought to sizing since I already had a love bracelet. However, I'm growing more and more uncertain whether I should have sized up and I really regret not trying on size 19. My wrist at the bone is about 16.3 cm with a tight wrap. The small love is thinner and goes further up my arm whereas regular love stops pretty close to the wrist and I'm not sure if it's a good look. Or what will happen if I gain a little bit of weight, my weight tends to fluctuate a few pounds. Attaching photos of both bracelets. Please let me know what you think about the look of the regular love. Should I have purchased a 19?
Also, I don't plan to stack these two bracelets. I'm actually thinking of selling the small love, so the size of it is not a limiting factor.

I think the 18 was the right choice. The sizing looks perfect to me. Not too tight, not too loose. I have 18’s and they fit similar to yours.

Size looks great. Also I wouldn't sell the small it looks beautiful stacked, you've got the option to take the small off and on whenever you feel! Just a thought but you do you! (*definitely go back to the store if you are able to try the 19 just for peace of mind, you'll always be wondering, and hopefully it will confirm you got the right size) Good luck

The fit looks amazing to me. If 19, I believe it will go past your wrist bone and rest on your hand if your hand is down. I personally do not prefer that but maybe you’re totally fine with it. I have both love (one reg and one sm) in 15 and 16 and they fit very differently. I don’t really feel my 15 on me because it has the right amount of movement, compared to 16.

Any chance to visit the store to try 19 so that you’ll get your needed answer?

Hi all, my wrist is measuring 16.4cm. I tired my friend’s 17 small love and I felt tight over my wrist bone. I ordered a size 18 regular Love. I will be getting it tomorrow! I Hope it will be the right fit. Does the regular fit tighter that the small? I’m looking for a tight fit.

18 should fit  just be VERY careful not to keep it on if it doesn’t so you can exchange.
The small and regular fit exact same.
