When I go through the airport mainly Heathrow here in the UK mine does go off around 80% of the time. I have never taken it off since I purchased it, to be fair it is only a month old (have gone through the airport 8 times) and at security if they ask I just say I cannot remove with without a screwdriver!

Last time I went through though the guy called his male supervisor over about it and he just said " OMG I love those, Kim Kardashian has one too I saw it when she came through the airport last week" LOL!

I've worn mine in WG for years now and have never had an issue with security. It will occasionally set off the alarm, but I explain what it is, and that it isn't removable.

I also wear my watch and wedding rings through security without issue.

A belt buckle however, causes the bells and whistles to go off every time. As does underwire -- not a pleasant pat down. ahem.

Domestic airport with the old metal detector I have no problem with the bracelet and my J12 watch. however once i wore some earrings with mixed metal and it went off.
New full body scanner is totally fine with jewelry.

I should have looked up this thread before I left for my flight this morning. The beep went off and of course it's so annoying because I have to wait for a female assist. But for my return flight back I tried the "cover my bracelet with other hand" trick and it worked. But then again, I don't know for sure if it was a different machine or anything. Mine is a 16" white gold for reference.

I have to disagree with the previous posters. I got pulled twice by security while wearing my love bracelet then I went and did some research on here. I found that if I walk thru the metal detector with my arm in an "L shape" IT WILL NOT GO OFF!! I fly at least 4x a month and this is my no-foul plan! It's also good bc I have a baby and it's such a pain to get pulled for extra screening with him in my arms. Would you believe that they've even patted down my 15 month old -__-

Anyways, I LOVE my love bracelet so much. It even makes sweats and a t-shirt look glam :tender:

Now that my SO and I are flying out for our vaca next month, I wonder.... I would HATE for us to take them off for the trip but... We have connecting flights, and it would stink to miss our connection!

You only go through security once. You wouldn't miss your connecting flight. Once you pass security, you are good for rest of the day unless it's an international flight.

I went to Halifax this weekend,I wear a 20 WG, I got through toronto pearson airport no problem, but I beeped on my way back going through halifax airport.

I looked a bit silly anyways, I bought lobsters (alive) at the airport on my way through halifax and I beeped, they put me through the machine and saw it was my bracelet, (the whole time the box of lobsters is bouncing around the security table....I think they were fighting or moving around in there.... they just looked at the bracelet and she commented on how "it's silly that it doesn't come off" and told me to enjoy my lobsters LOL:lolots:

I didn't find it anymore difficult getting through the airport then pre-love bracelet, a lot of people get random scanned anyways so I think this has something to do with it also?

This is the reason I never invested in a Love bracelet. I have to take off my 4 bangles everytime...I go through airport security constantly. I even had a wiglet that went off. Every airport sets the security machines and they do differ slightly.
