Congrats on your anniversary! SO glad I found this thread. My 20th wedding anniversary is coming up and we are supposed to go to Oahu as well in early April. I hear the shopping is amazing. I too was thinking to wait to get the Love until we get there as the tax is much cheaper ( I am in CA). However, I am going back and forth...I have an SA here who is great, but would like to save on the tax. I have very small wrists too and am worried they might not have my size. My birthday is next month and was hoping to bite the bullet. Other than saving on tax, are there any benefits? I am worried about how much inventory they will have as that time is spring break and hoping we don't postpone our trip for various reasons.

Happy Anniversary early!! I'm only buying in Hawaii so I can try them on. If I ordered on line I'd have zero tax since Montana doesn't have sales tax. For me it's worth it so I can try on the small vs the classic in different sizes.

Omg no sales tax would be amazing! Please post your bracelet after you return! Cartier is very addictive, you may come back with more than just a Love Bracelet!

LOL, I wish but there's no way. I have the trinity ring tho and the trinity black silk cord bracelet so I'm already pretty happy. I'll be more than ecstatic with the Love bracelet. I sold a bunch of things I wasn't using on Fashionphile so I feel I can justify this.

We own a business (I'm also an RN in acute care) but our business had a tough time in 2020. Things will get better and we aren't alone. Being in healthcare this past year also taught me we aren't promised tomorrow and to live for today. So I'm going to "let it go" and just get the damn bracelet. ;)

Love what you just said! We aren't guaranteed tomorrow! Which is why I want to also "let it go" and get the damn bracelet as well :biggrin:plus if they end up having a price increase- that may be the end of my journey in obtaining one!

Can you do this: shop, try on, and make a purchase in Oahu, ----then instead of taking possession of the bracelet in Oahu, have the store ship it to you in Montana (or to a trusted friend who is home all the time--or if possible a Fed Ex or UPS facility (whoever Cartier uses) that holds onto shipments for you if instructed) to avoid the sales tax. That way you see it, try it on, and still have the savings. You have to be comfortable with the shipping aspect of it. I know what you mean about having no stores. I lived in Wisconsin ages ago for a bit when the biggest luxury store that carried anything designer was Marshall Field's--it was a big deal to buy Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Gloria Vanderbilt jeans or a Coach bag. I don't know what the shopping is like there anymore. Now get your damn bracelet.:happydance:

I think you can still purchase with a SA in Hawaii, and he/she should be able to ship your order to your home in Montana without charging tax. I recall a SA mentioned this to me before.

Just talked to an SA at the Ala Moana mall today. They’ll charge tax at your own state if you ship it out (for me, it’s CA with sales tax ). If that’s the case, maybe it’s better to just buy it in my home state.

I ended up getting mine engraved so my SA in Honolulu shipped it to my home in Montana. We have no sales tax so that saved me some.

That’s great to hear! I had to get it here since I get to save on sale tax (4.7% Hawaii tax vs. 9.75% CA tax lol). Luckily my SA was able to ship the bracelet out from vegas and I got to pick it up before my trip ends.

Hi there. Definitely call and make an appointment at Ala Moana. Kevin is great and helped me with my Love bracelet and sizing but I bought all my other pieces from Rumi and I adore her. Their stock has been low, I last went in to boutique in December when I got my thin love with diamonds but if you text ahead they can probably get what you're looking for. Let me know if you want Rumi's number.
Will concur - Rumi’s great.

Hello everyone, I know this thread is two years old, but I am actually celebrating my 24th anniversary in Honolulu next week. I also wanted to get something from Cartier and a few other boutiques for the sentimental aspect. Would anyone please share their SA’s information with me?. Is Kevin and or Rumi still available? Thank you in advance!
