For Cartier when you bought a piece you have to look forward and not back on how much you paid. It's waaaay to much anyway but that shoult not ruin the feeling of gratefulness when looking at it.

Agree but it’s just my personality to justify everything. Lol! My husband is the opposite and has the “live for the moment” attitude. I need to adapt to that especially after working in health care thru all this pandemic. Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.

I would work with Kevin at Ala Moana Cartier. He is great! PM me for his number if you would like it!! ❤.

Kevin typically needs a week or so to make sure he has your size in stock. You could always trying there and then buy through Honolulu / have it shipped to your house in Montana and I think you wouldn't have to pay tax but I could be wrong. The tax in Hawaii is 4.5% still I believe.

There used to be another Cartier on Oahu but that one closed, I bought a piece there a few years ago that I love. The memory is nice and fun to have!

Good luck!

I do remember the other Cartier store, that’s why I was so confused when I just saw the one at the mall. I’ll PM you for Kevin’s number. We won’t be there for three weeks so I’ll let him know what I’m looking for. I don’t even care if it has to be shipped if they don’t have it But I’m sure they have samples of each one to try if it’s out of stock. Plus, I may want it engraved so I can be patient.

Yes the Cartier on the main strip in Waikiki closed sadly.

Wow we sound a lot alike! Also a RN and my fiancé and I have a construction company, high school sweethearts, but have been together 10 years in June and we just got engaged! We live in Florida and even though we have just about every luxury store you can think of here, we like to buy our special items on our vacays to Vegas annually and did just that with my Love bracelets this past December! I’m sure they should have your size in HI but I would definitely call to make an appointment and tell them possible sizes so they can make sure they have them for you. I’m such an experience-based person and skipped making this purchase before their price increase because I wanted to purchase it on Christmas Day to make it special since all boutiques are open on Christmas Day in Vegas. Wait for the experience, it will definitely be worth it I promise!! Good luck and congrats on your anniversary! ❤️

Hi there. Definitely call and make an appointment at Ala Moana. Kevin is great and helped me with my Love bracelet and sizing but I bought all my other pieces from Rumi and I adore her. Their stock has been low, I last went in to boutique in December when I got my thin love with diamonds but if you text ahead they can probably get what you're looking for. Let me know if you want Rumi's number.

I have Kevin’s number but I would love Rumi’s too. We usually stay in Waikiki but this time we are renting a condo in the north shore area and will have a more quiet vacation. We’ll probably hit Waikiki a couple times and the mall once. So between two people to contact I should be good. I figured the stock was low at Christmas but I would hope it’s better now. I wouldn’t even care if it had to be shipped to me if it was out of stock, I just need to try some on. I can be patient, I’ve wanted this for years.

Thank you so much!

Staying at Turtle Bay? Beautiful condos out there. Just got home from an afternoon on the north shore. Weather has been rainy and windy. I will pm you Rumi's number. SAs have been on a week on/week off schedule so you'll just have to see who will be available when it's your vacation.

They will definitely be able to ship it to you from another boutique if it's out of stock at Ala Moana.

Yes, at Turtle Bay!! Normally I would never consider that area because I love the action of Waikiki but this year needs to be an exception. As long as I get some warm, sunny weather and the ocean, I'll be good.

TY for the tip on them doing one week on, one week off!!! I'll message them both!

Not everything is open anyway and the hours are crazy, make sure you check what they are if you are making the trek into town. Lots to do on the north shore. I am always there as I surf. :)

I can relate to your shopping preferences. I live in Chicago, lots of luxury stores here, but I far prefer Vegas, Honolulu or when we go to Europe.

Congrats on your anniversary! SO glad I found this thread. My 20th wedding anniversary is coming up and we are supposed to go to Oahu as well in early April. I hear the shopping is amazing. I too was thinking to wait to get the Love until we get there as the tax is much cheaper ( I am in CA). However, I am going back and forth...I have an SA here who is great, but would like to save on the tax. I have very small wrists too and am worried they might not have my size. My birthday is next month and was hoping to bite the bullet. Other than saving on tax, are there any benefits? I am worried about how much inventory they will have as that time is spring break and hoping we don't postpone our trip for various reasons.

We get to Vegas a couple times a year except for 2020. We went once real quick for some meetings we had and it was really awful. Have done Europe a few times but only once took the time to shop (Paris) and it was super quick. We are always on the run when we are there. Here in Montana we have NOTHING. OMG, a trip to TJMaxx is a treat. Sad sad sad. LOL
