I mean they can just melt it down and make another one and sell it off. No loss to them.I bought two love cuffs prior to the price increase online since I don’t have a Cartier boutique close hoping to find my size and keep one. Unfortunately, I felt the size 16 was too snug and the size 17 rotated. I returned them promptly, but Cartier is slow on returns. Today I received an email that my size 16 bracelet was rejected by their return department. They included a photo with deep abrasions and what looked like years of wear.
I have a video of me trying the bracelet on, but I didn’t take a ton of close up photos. It seems the only thing possible is that Cartier switched the bracelets on accident or (who knows???) someone working there has purposefully tried to swap the one I’m returning.
Has anyone had a situation like this? The purchase was made with an AMEX so I’m hoping they’ll protect me. I would not recommend ever buying anything from Cartier online and only working directly with a boutique and SA.
Attached is a photo of the abrasions. I literally tried the bracelet they sent on maybe twice for 30 seconds each.
