Cartier gets my vote. This is a classic style that can last forever. The J12 is beautiful, but more trendy and starting to look dated in my opinion.

I want a good everyday watch. I'm undecided as to which one to get I love both the black j12 and the Cartier BB. I have a Cartier Panther that I hate and a Michele large white ceramic with diamonds. Any thoughts?

I had the same dilemma a few months ago, and ended up with a 36mm Cartier BB in stainless and gold. I love it, but I still look admiringly at the black Chanel.

i never thought i would like the J12 since i love cartier watches but a friend of mine got one in ceramic and I tried it on and it's really lovely. I'm considering J12 as my next watch. Go try both and see which one sings to your heart. However , Cartier has always proven to stand the test of time.

I have both and I found I wear my black J12 more often because I haven't been able scratch them since 2009 while my BB scratches so easily. If you are looking for a real everyday watch my vote goes to J12. I normally wear my BB to dinner or special occasion because it does look more formal.
