If there is a front platform an experienced cobbler can take some of the height. Because wedge shoes are differently constructed, it is not possible to cut just the back as it was done with the heels in the example. I have asked – I ordered a pair of shoes and the listing stated 4” heel (which I’m ok with) but did not mention the 1” platform. I get a vertigo just getting up on them so I took them to cobbler and yes, it was possible to be shortened but the price was too high.
