Can you have too many black bags?

I mainly use black bags in the fall and winter. Spring and summer I use mostly white, blue and tan bags. I have different sizes and textures for my black bag collection and they all get used.

3 Gucci (2 canvas and 1 leather)
4 Coach (2 vintage leather and 1 canvas tote, 1 clutch)
1 Bottega Veneta small veneta hobo
1 Jimmy Choo Riki black patent leather
1 vintage satin bag

I also tend to go for color more than neutrals...at the moment I don't own a single brown bag, for example, and didn't own any black bags for quite a while until I went on a recent spate and bought a Rebecca Minkoff Black Haze Mini Beloved, an RM Black Haze 3 Zip Rocker, and a Belen Echandia Black Crash Love Me Midi. I also have two special orders awaiting me shortly: a BE black pebbled glossy Take Me Everywhere Midi, and an RM Black Stonewash Mini Beloved. I have a feeling that I will be selling one of my black bags at that point, however, because of some overlap.

Two other bags on my wishlist are a black Mulberry Bayswater and a MbMJ Sasha Petal to the Metal in (you guessed it!): black.

I don't think that you can have too many black bags if you use them all, and can legitimately afford them. For me, what makes each of these bags different are the details and the basic shape. Designers are amazingly creative with black this season is particular. Alternatively, for me there's nothing more boring than an unadorned black bag in mediocre leather, however. It's not like black clothing fabric, which lets you cheat a bit since most clothes, no matter how poorly constructed, tend to look at least a little more luxe in black. Nope...black pleather is anything but forgiving. ;)

Eeeep...and I also just got a black Rebecca Minkoff Fringe Darling on BF. What's up with my black bag binge? I am loving them more than ever lately...

Black bags are great! I don't think I could have too many. They hide dirt and wear-but also are not as "Look at me" as other colors. I've tried other colors, but black has my heart. Perhaps I'll try some browns, but as it stands eveything I'm eyeing is black!

I seem to be gravitating toward black bags more lately. I think I have five now (after gifting one to my sister). The last three I've bought were black. Now I'm looking at another one in black. This particular bag (like some others) looks better in black and it's also a good price.
Anyone else have a bunch of black bags?

I think my bag stash has pretty much 50/50 or black/colorful bags. I took a look at them and it seems I have a basic collection of black bags, as in a large tote, a basic satchel, a medium sized shoulder/crossbody bag etc. The colorful bags are mostly more unique pieces like different types of Lumi Supermarket bags, Modalu Brogue Pippa, different Mulberries that are a bit rarer seen etc. So I have my basics covered and enough color and flare to keep things interesting!

Probably 75% of my bags are black. And it is rare I use a non black one. So I don’t think you can have too many. Lol

I like black bags its good with any color of your clothes. But my husband thinks its boring. I had him choose between a black bag and one with pink design and he said the black one looks boring lol. But i like black especially in dress and even shoes. Why? Because you can match it with anything

I’m just not into black handbags because I find them harsh and boring. However, I own a few. One I keep out of nostalgia but haven’t used it in years. I have a couple of black Prada nylon from back in the day. Never giving those up, and I still wear those. I bought a Karl Lagerfeld Agyness in black with gold hardware. I LOVE that bag and wear it often. Other than those four bags, it’s a hard pass on a black bag.
