Can I carry one brand of wallet in a bag of another brand?

Matchy matchy isn't a terrible thing. Not to mention, many reveals here on tpf, include "sets" of one sort or another (i.e. matching bag to wallet; bag to shoes; bag to nail polish; bag to jewelry; etc. by designer, color, hardware, etc.)

For example, I've been looking for a matching set for one of my bags for a while, to no avail. In the meantime, I don't mind using a rainbow of mismatching small leather goods. (But... should I ever encounter this elusive matching wallet, it will match the designer, color, leather, and hardware of my aforementioned bag. )

Lol!!! I only have one walet, a Prada, and I use it with all the bags I have, Ferragamo, Fendi, LV, etc.

Well, yes of course-if it were I, I know I would never have enough $$, if I need to buy a matching wallet for every bag I own.

I use my Chanel zip around wallet in all of my bags. It's a perfect size so I don't have to worry about changing wallets to fit my bag choice each day

I can totally relate. The amount of neon (particularly pink) small accessories that I own is overwhelming, but the color totally makes me happy and this enables me to constantly carry it while maintaining a lower profile in an office setting.

I don't think it's tacky to have two different brands at all. As others have said, just buy what you love and don't give it a second thought

I have a LV collection and am soon to purchase a Chanel maxi flap bag and I plan to use my LV wallet with it!! 💞

The only thing I would find weird is that if you have a designer bag that costs over $2k and you have a $50 wallet sitting there... Like carrying a Chanel and having a polyurethane (fake leather) Guess wallet..

I use Pravda wallet with balenciaga city bag. However it can't fit in my Chanel flaps. As a result, I use Cath kidston pouch with my Chanel flaps because I dont want to spend money on smaller designer wallet. LoL I may in the future, but right now I m rather buy another designer bag than a wallet.

i have a lv wallet i use for all my purses. I invested in one that would somewhat match my other bags. I don't think it is tacky at all

Of course you can, i do it all the time. I personally don't like to have the same brand for both my handbag and my wallet.

No, not at all. Many people do, but personally I think its a waste to have a matching wallet for every purse. My mom uses a louis vuitton monogram canvas wallet, which is perfect because she has a lot of bags in that pattern, but she uses it with every other designer too. Depending on the brand, wallets can be just as expensive as the bag, and your'e usually better off buying one wallet that you love and having extra bags!
