Can epsom be spa'd or refurbished?

I have seen the other posts about hand sanitizer stains being removed successfully at the spa but on Togo leather. Has anyone has experience with Epsom? Do you think these spots are repairable? TIA

Hi everyone! I was wearing a K25 Epsom Sellier on a flight and very frustratingly the passenger behind me carelessly removed their carry-on from the overhead compartment and completely whacked in to me... hitting the wheels of their luggage against my Kelly which was being worn crossbody angled on my back since my hands were full with other items I was taking off the flight with me.

The scratch isn't visible ALL the time, but now that I can see it, it's all I can see  What do I do? Can it be fixed?

I’m sorry this happened.

Why not take this to H and see what they can do?

Yikes! Not try to make you feel worse but is there another scratch on the flap too? Thought I saw one on the upper right corner near the top handle. With epsom I'd take it to the boutique to have them assess it, good thing it looks like a superficial scrape than a deep scratch though. Good luck!

Very sorry to see this. I always tell people, PLEASE put your bag in the dust bag when traveling. You may be able to control yourself but you can never anticipate other people's foolishness or clumsiness. Hopefully the H Spa can fix this boo boo!

This is always the best advice and it avoids speculation.
I can understand why you might want to gauge the likelihood of success before you bother to take in,
but the only way to find out for sure is to take it to Hermes.
The artisans can work wonders, so try to be optimistic.

My Epsom birkin was scratched on a plane also :crybaby: Hermes said I could send it in for a deep conditioning to see if that helped with the scratch or I could have the panel replaced.

I’m sorry you got a scratch. I love to wear my bags all the time so I understand wanting to use it and travel with it.

Thanks so much for the input everyone! I'm going to go ahead and take it to the store to see what they recommend. Luckily summer is here so I'd be bringing my bright-colored bags out and storing this bag for the season anyway. Any insight on how long a usual spa visit takes?

I see what you were referring to - luckily that was one of my dog's hairs  PHEW!!!

i dont think the texture of the epsom has changed - the embossing doesn't appear eroded. It appears as if the leather has a slight sheen, as if someone shined it slightly, as opposed to being totally matte, as it was originally. i should say i have had the bag 6 years and have used it as an every day bag, so it may reflect more extreme use than other bags. I take it that no one else here has beaten the crap out of an epsom bag and taken it to the spa?
Hi Jedimaster, I have the same issue on my epsom bag and theres a spot more shiny after rubbed repeatedly, do you end up fixing the issue? mine is completely new bag just tried to remove a black dot on the surface of the bag.. sigh!
