Of current offerings for durability + tactile satisfaction I like Chamkila and/or Swift (which also happen to be the two I always have on the go). Chamkila is already quite shiny, Swift has a matte-sheen, but will get a bit more sheen with use.

Maybe now, but I think I've seen mysore goatskin and evercolor calfskin Calvi's online before. Right now, you can see a variety of different leathers by checking out the Bastia's online.
I don't have experience with madame calfskin, but I'd put my SLG preferences in this order:
1. Mysore goatskin - hardy and soft-ish to touch
2. Epsom - hardy but not soft to touch
3. Evercolor - shows scratches, but soft to touch

I think I'm having purchase regret, although it is a smaller products, so not a huge deal. I was looking at Calvi Duo's and there were 3 options that I was considering... Bleu du Nord, a Verso of vert comics (vert fizz inside), and a Verso of Bleu du Presse (vert fizz inside). I went with the bleu du presse, but now I think I should have gone with the vert comics or bleu du nord. Something brighter! Ugh, anyone able to convince me one way or the other? Thanks!

If it makes you feel any better, SLGs can get dirty so a darker color can hide stains. Also, you can always get another one down the line??

My blue de nord got pen on it and got ruined. A dark colour is much better.

Just be careful what you store inside! I have a bastia in vert comics and vert fizz on the inside. Beautiful combo! Unfortunately it’s very stained now from the change I was storing in it (got the bastia to store loose change in my bag). It’s a true testament to how dirty money really is!

That's the exact colour combo that I have! Although I have a Calvi Duo in it.... yikes. Good to know about the change staining the inside of the pouch. Thanks!!

Agreed! any light or even medium color is bound to get marks or scratches and if you're one of those people who has a conniption if that happens, better to get a darker color! especially for the bastias!
