Today I received a calvi in bleu nuit alligator and unfortunately I am quite disapointed. It doesn’t seem new and what is worst it has a cut on one side. It is an expensive piece and although they are all handmade and unique I didn’t expect it to have this kind of assymetrical cut. Are my expectations unrealistically high or would this also bother you?

For the higher-than-usual-luxury cost associated with Hermes products, I think having high expectations should be the norm. I would have the same reaction as you. Your concerns are more than justified.

I would definitely return it - online should allow complimentary returns.
Definitely a return and prolly an opportunity to inform the company about their quality check/control failing them this time around.

After reading Notorious Pink's review of the Calvi Duo, I knew I had to have one.
When I emailed my SA, she had one in stock in Bleu Orage in Epsom leather for $465.
It fits everything I need, yet still compact.
