Hi everyone,

I know this is not the best forum to ask, but i have a dilemma.

Louis Vuitton Watercolor Multicolor Pocket Organizer (it has yet to release) - 295 Euros
or Personalized Calvi Electric Blue/Swift Leather/Rose Pourpre. - 326 Euros

It will be my forever cardholder. I am female, young and love colors. Like multicolor in strategic goods. Electric Blue shade from Hermes is my favorite color. From Hermes i like the quality. From LV probably the hype? That the PO would be a hot item and more people would want it, and as it's not personalized it would hold resale value if i decide to part with it. (I mean in the extreme case i would like to sell it)

I want it to last me a couple years. I am careful with my items and treat them right. But truthfully without being too partialized to one brand or the other what have you noticed with both per your experience. I want it to be my go to/forever cardholder that i always like while seeing it.

Also, does anyone has a Calvi Rose Pourpre interior photo that can share? Better if its on the Swift leather. I want to appreciate the vividness of the colors. I have seen the Electric Blue Swift in video and i think photo, and i like it. What i don't know is how the Rose Pourpre looks like in Calvi. Also - btw what do you think about that combo?

I only have the Rose Pourpre as interior colour for a Bastia, and epsom leather so not sure if that will help. I have a Calvi in Blue Electric swift but the interior I chose for this was Jaune Ambre. I’m sure your combo will look beautiful!

I purchased my first Calvi. Waiting for the arrival. I had my heart set on a Chanel irridescent card holder (which I had already purchased). But knowing this finish doesn’t wear well over the years, I decided on a Calvi in Mysore. I tend to keep my items for years and wanted something that would hold up with time. The Chanel went back!
I received the anemone, but I am underwhelmed by the color. I just ordered a Framboise. Hopefully I will like this pop of color.

It totally depends on how you want to use it! Seeing as you mentioned it will be your forever cardholder, I’m assuming it will be your daily go to. If you plan on using it exclusively for cards and cards only I would go for the H.
If you plan to also use it for cash notes (like a small wallet to use in a mini bag) I would go for the pocket organizer! It’s a lot more practical to use in my opinion, because it has multiple different slots.
I do recommend to go for what you really like and will love for years to come! Don’t get caught in the hype, just cause something is a hot item

Thanks so guys i finally went to Hermes to see the Calvi well live and ... it totally changed my perspectives. First i realized many things: I don't like any Calvi in Epson! Epson is a nono for me. Not my vibe. :O

Second i saw the Swift and Blue Zellige Evercolor and i really liked more the Evercolor leather than the Swift as the Swift was too smooth for me. I think i missed the Mysore , forgot to ask see. But Swift is a no go for me and the Electric Blue i saw it was too dark, i prefer shades like the Zellige.

All in all i think i am going to keep and use my LV Key Pouch which is almost as half as the Calvi. It is very tricky because you have to see things in person to get an idea, if i would have ordered the personalized Swift Calvi i would be a bit dissapointed as i expected a more vibrant Blue.

Can anyone please post photos, comments of Evercolor vs Mysore on the Calvi? Those are the last 2 ones i forgot to compared side to side.

And also i prefer them Verso! Two tone instead of 1 tone!

I have a couple Mysore calvis and an evercolor one. They’re quite different. The Mysore is medium glossy with a pronounced, small-medium grain and is stiff enough to hold its shape (though not as stiff as Epsom). It’s pretty resistant to wear and tear. I think Mysore (or chamkila, if you can stomach the price) are the best of the common leathers for calvis if you intend to use it regularly—they’re luxe, more “organic” than epsom, and take color beautifully, but are tough enough to take a lot of use. I also think the grain is beautiful and unique.

Evercolor is supple, more delicate, and soft enough to bend without much effort. It’s sort of velvety and plush to the touch, and is more matte than Mysore. The grain is about the same size but more typical of common cowhide leathers.

That’s funny. I have a Calvi in rose pourpre but I really love that framboise color. Are they very similar to each other in person? I’ve only seen framboise online.
I just ordered the Rose Poupre in Epsom. I’ll compare colors once I receive it. The Framboise is really beautiful and I might have trouble returning it. I am not crazy about Epsom, but I know it is really stiff. For my needs, it might hold up a bit better over the Evercolor.

I received the Framboise in Evercolor. I love the color, but the leather is very soft. I am going to return it and get Epsom instead. I know it is a stiffer, more structured leather (which I personally like).

any chance you can take a photo of what framboise looks like? sometimes colours on the website can be quite off. thank you
