Is yours on hold with Saks by any chance?

I think it is quite different than the Palermo (I have the GM) and more along the lines of the Totally w/out pockets. I love my Totally MM and the Cabas would compete with it for use. However, I love the look of the Cabas and can see this bag taking me well into my 60's and beyond (I'm 52) whereas the Totally may look better on my neice in 10 years! :p I am trying to tweek my bag collection and keep/buy what I can see myself using as I age.

Mine is at Neiman Marcus. I think I will be coming home on Wednesday with a new Cabas Mezzo. I love my Palermo GM but the Cabas captivated my mind and I can't it get out of my head. Since it's slightly smaller than the Palermo it'll be designated as my everyday bag and the Palermo will be used on those days when I need to carry extra weight.

If you make the purchase, please do a reveal! If I buy the one on hold for me it won't ship until the 31st, when Saks double points begins.

When you can't get a bag out of your head it's a good sign that you need it!:D

I have a Cabas Messo which I sold after grad school. I regret selling it. And I have never found another large tote bag with a zipper and strong built. Arghhhh....

I have also gifted someone a Cabas Piano back in the days. I hope she hasn't sold hers.

i spent this year collecting vintage/discontinued pieces and truly believe the cabas series was one of the best vuitton did.

I’m reviving this thread! I am torn between the Cabas Alto and the Sac Shopping 60. It will be a mommy bag, as I have a toddler and an infant and they are both still in diapers. Which one should I get? I can’t decide! Someone save me from myself. lol!

I feel like the sac shopping will work better as a mommy bag. The cabas alto is VERY big and i find it's great for toting things around but not if you plan on accessing the contents unless it's set down. the sac shopping seems to be more user friendly when on the shoulder, if that makes sense.
