*BUYING* on Poshmark

I don't, but you could ask for authenticator recommendations in the Carrier forum https://forum.purseblog.com/forums/cartier.301/

But if you're concerned that the gold isn't real, any jeweler should be able to test the gold content of the earrings.

To be clear, I was suggesting going to the Cartier forum to ask for people's recommendations for a paid authenticator. I don't think it'd be useful to authenticate jewelry over the internet, since the gold content is basically the most important part, so ideally it'd be a local shop!

not saying these earrings are fake or not since I don't buy Cartier, but I have pure gold or close to pure gold jewelries bought decades ago, sometimes the surface would change color, but be able to shine again if just buff it. I also had gold plated designer bags' hardware would tarnish but be able to buff it back to gold color if they were pure gold or gold plated.

in your case, I assume you can just resell them on Poshmark if you can't find someone authenticate these for you. You shall be able to recoup your money

It's ironic I found this thread as I just changed out my Cartier Love small hoops for my Cartier Diamants Légers earrings today and found that my DL were very badly tarnished.

I can't say whether or not yours are fake or not, but I can tell you that Cartier earrings can and do tarnish over time, and actually, I would say my Cartier earrings, where the gold touches my skin tarnished worse than my Tiffany earrings.

I read up on ways to clean the tarnish up, but I'm too lazy to do it. I plan to just have Cartier run it through their cleaning machine when I'm at a boutique. However, I can tell you that process just cleans the item and doesn't remove the tarnish as I have done it before.

I would not necessary say your earrings are fake though. Hope that gives you peace of mind.

I've heard that it's not uncommong for some reason for Posh sellers not just not ship. I ordered a bag from a seller with thousands of followers. she acknowledged and said she would ship Monday. Now it's wednesday and she hasn't shipped. I sent her a message yesterday and haven't received an answer yet. I know after a week I can cancel the order but I want the bag. Would you cancel if it wasn't shipped and she doesn't communicate? or give it more time? I believe after 21 days Posh will automatically refund my money if I don't get the item.

Unfortunately, Posh is now infested with scammers that steal pictures and descriptions from sold items. I saw a bunch of Coach Rogues under $300 that were way too good to be true. Thankfully, a few of them have buyers calling out the scammer so I was able to avoid buying their non-existent bag.

I recommend next time you should test out the seller by sending offers or leaving comments to see if they reply. Followers don't mean anything since many of them are following just to increase their own follower count.

I’m glad you posted this, because I was really confused when someone recently offered $1 less than the listing price for a pair of Chanel boots I had for sale. I’m used to people offering $500 for an item listed for $3000, so I almost wondered if she made an error. I waited an hour before accepting just to make sure she meant to make the $1 lower offer. I suppose whose was just making sure I was responsive on the site.

I’m sorry, I don’t know what the timeframe is before the sale is automatically cancelled. Have you checked the last time she was on the site? (Go to her profile page and it will say when she was last on). If it was in the last day or two, I would send her another message on her listing asking her if she plans to ship it. Then if no response, maybe ask again the next day, and if still no answer, I would guess she is not sending it.
Next, if she has sold other items, you should check to see if she has any reviews (if not, most likely she never shipped the items).

I would also check her sold listings to see if there are any comments where the buyer is asking, “Are you planning to ship my item?”

Last, go to her “meet the posher” listing (if she has one) and there may be comments there that help you decide if she is responsive and ships items or not.

These methods are the best way I have to judge. A good portion of items are never shipped or never even in the possession of the seller, but usually at least one of these methods will give you a hint if this seller is legitimate or not.

I am just venting. I purchased a gorgeous Marc Jacobs Python embossed bordeaux Stam that looked to be in excellent condition. It was a very good price and I was so excited. Well, USPS states it was delivered to my locked mailbox - We have personal locked mail boxess and "lockers" for larger packages that we share within our grouping of mailboxes. There are about 4 lockers. If you have a package, the postal person leaves a key in your personal mailbox to indicate you have a package. There was no key in my box. I had other packages delivered to my front door that day (not this one). Now, tracking still shows delivered and I have no idea where my gorgeous bag is right now. I am still holding out hope it will show up, but that was 4 days ago.

I am hoping Poshmark will reimburse me for this purchase. I am not sure how I am going to prove that I didn't receive the item, but I didn't. Anyway, I don't want my money back, I want my bag! If I can't have my bag, I am hoping to get my $$$ back. So sad to think that beautiful bag could be floating around somewhere.

sorry this happened to you. we have that same setup for our mail and I don't like it as well as having our own mailbox at the curb. I hope if one our your neighbors got it they will return it to the PO and you'll eventually get it. I don't have any advice except I'd start by contacting Posh. And maybe try calling the local PO.

Could the postman/woman have left the key in one of your other neighbor's boxes? Maybe your package is still in one of the locked boxes!
I asked another postman who was servicing some of the other mailboxes to check. He opened up all the mailboxes to see if it was inside. Nope. I am hoping that someone will return the package. I had a package that did not belong to me dropped off in my mailbox. It was for my neighbor across the street. I walked it over. I just keep hoping someone will bring it by or give it back to USPS.
