"You are a big deal to us! Our processing time is longer than usual. The reality is, there is so much to do, and not as many people to get it done. Know that we are processing your pretty items as fast as we can and when there is an update, we will send it along."

Yay! They opened my box!
I just got the same message. Finally, my box got opened! Now let's see how long it takes to pay.

I just went in person to the NYC showroom yesterday to sell a couple of bags. Of course you never get anywhere close to what you've paid. They did offer me $1000 for my LV speedy nano which is in pristine condition with box, papers, etc.. I sold a gorgeous Valentino for $800, paid $1400 and I sold a small round D&G also pristine condition for $175. I paid $500 so that was a huge loss. The employees there are very nice and the transaction happens quickly. I've done it before. As far as purchasing bags on their site, I think they are crazy with pricing. I just bought the LV Black Leather Empriente Neverfull MM at the LV store for $2260 and Fashionphile has numerous new or excellent some without the pouch for a $1000 more than the stores price. That makes no sense, so I tend to stay away from buying from their site.
Thats a lot money to lose especially added up

Yup it definitely is but the bags were sitting in my closet not being used for about 4-7 years. I thought about selling privately or through ebay but I'm always afraid of getting screwed. At least with Fashionphile you know who and where they are and my money was in my account this morning. Literally 2 days later after bringing the bags to the showroom. This is why I thought moving forward, I would only buy bags with good resale value like LV or Gucci, but that takes the enjoyment out of seeing a bag that you absolutely love and just buying it because it's gorgeous and not what you may get for it in 4 years.

I also purchased Monday 8/23 and it was shipped Tuesday and I received it 2-day air by Thursday. I didn't get anything in my box other than the item, no file or extra packing. Perhaps the shipping department is significantly faster than the intake department; it makes sense they want people who are paying to be made happy and less consideration goes to people they need to pay out:smile:

I ordered an LV key chain from Fashionphile that arrived today. It was on sale 20% off and described as Very Good condition, which it was. However, I have a bone to pick with them. A part of the key chain, the metal loop that connects the actual key loop and LV clip to the Epi leather square is not the original LV hardware. It is an aftermarket metal ring someone just used to replace the original LV hardware. Nowhere in FP's listing does it say aftermarket part and I didn't see it until I compared it to a new item. It irks me they didn't mention it. I guess it's buyer beware. Just sneaky. I shouldn't have to examine every picture with a magnifying glass to see what they are trying to slip by us.

I felt the need to share my recent experience with FP. After consigning almost $20k of my merchandise with them, I finally made my first purchase with them at the end of July. It was a “New” Chanel metallic gold square mini flap. When I received it, I immediately noticed the symmetry of the quilting and the structure was all off. On top of that, the retail tag attached said made in Italy, while the bag itself said made in France. I immediately packaged her up and returned her the next morning with the UPS label which was generated through the Fashionphile website in my account while processing my return of the item. Two days later, I tracked the package and saw that it was delivered and signed for. I heard nothing or saw nothing on my Fashionphile account regarding the return weeks later, so I contacted them. They said that they would open a UPS investigation and follow up with me, but asked for me to wait and give them an entire month. One whole month while they held over 4K of my money! Fast forward to this past week, I received an email from them saying that they were denying my refund, and that they felt it was in their best interest to deactivate my account. I was utterly shocked! They gave me no explanation whatsoever and refused to share any of the information with regards to the UPS investigation.
Due to shut doors through Fashionphile, I reached out to UPS to try to find more answers as to whatever happened to the package. They in return got back to me saying that they could not disclose any information since fashionphile was the account holder. Therefore, they redirected me to Fashionphile to ask for the results of the investigation. I again made several attempts to reach out to Fashionphile only to be told that the case was closed.
Today, after over a month of having my money held by Fashionphile, I received the best news ever from PayPal that they investigated my case, and ruled in my favor. I will be receiving my refund from Fashionphile! I literally cried!!! Finally, an end to this nightmare!!
I felt the need to share my story to warn others. I would never wish this upon my worst enemy. Please spread the word around so that this does not happen to you or anyone else! Make sure to document every single thing if you are ever processing a return with fashionphile. UPS said that merchants have been known to receive refunds from UPS, while holding onto customer’s money. I have no clue as to what happened in my instance, but I’m just so grateful that honesty in the end prevailed and that they couldn’t bully me into giving up and not fighting for my money!!! Shame on them!!! 1AF45D38-12C2-4E1F-A29C-5BB9F574C180.jpeg

Wow, I am speechless! I've personally never bought anything with them before but have been tempted to, on several occasions. After reading your story I'm now even more wary of spending $ with them. I can't believe a big, established company like them lack the basics of business such as transparency. The fact that they didn't bother to explain anything to you at all is sus and honestly, a big red flag.

But I'm glad you were able to get your money back in the end!

Thank you!!! Yes, I’m still honestly shocked at how they handled my case! Like u said… they are extremely reputable. All the you tubers sing praises about them, and again, I had sold tons of my things to them without incident. But this…. this was absolutely atrocious what they did!!! Spread the word and be careful with any returns in dealing with Fashionphile!!!

Sorry you had this anxiety producing experience. It is very strange. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I've only purchased through them, not consigned, because they seem to lowball offers. I've returned three bags - Hermes, Goyard and Dior - with no issues and gotten prompt refunds, but I'll admit I'm a little nervous until I get their email saying they've received the return and are processing the refund.
