Michael Kors Buyer's Remorse?

Yes, I once bought an MK bag in a very light colour despite the fact that my handbag collection is made up entirely of dark and bold colours. Needless to say I didn't carry the bag and later gifted it to a relative who was puzzled at being given a bag in near mint condition.

Lesson learned: don't buy something outside your comfort zone.

Ooh which one was it? I had the same experience with a white Balenciaga. It was beautiful and had chèvre leather but I was constantly worried about stains that I sold her after a week or so.

Let me know how it goes;). Personally I wouldn't mind having two pale blue, but I agree that it's enough with one pale pink.

Haha yeah and same style too! Well almost in the same style. I already have 2 other pink bags plus the pale pink medium satchel coming. It's hilarious cuz I have neutral color bags but then I have 3 bags in 3 different shades of pink. I wouldn't mind having another mk in fuscia or blush or blossom or raspberry one day though!

Lol...You're a lost cause;)! I totally get you, blossom is a stunning color. I have a Jet set in Fuchsia myself, so I too have more than one pink. Actually I think about half the users of TPF has more than one pink;). And if MK continues to bring so many options;...who knows what number we'll end up on;)!

Raspberry is so pretty. I regret not buying a Raspberry medium Selma satchel when I had the chance at New Year. Looks great with monochrome outfits amongst others.

It's crazy how quickly I get buyer's remorse! My mom says I am the most indecisive person ever. I can take forever pondering over whether I like something or not and I ask a lot of people for opinions. At the end of the day I get the one I really want but sometimes it takes awhile for me to get there!

Recently I had a lot of issues with the medium colette..kept wanting to keep her and exchanged for the larger size. After I returned the medium size I couldn't stop thinking about her but knew the size wasn't practical for me so I kept the large. I still have the tag on it because I am still not 100%. Same thing happened with my pale pink studded medium selma messenger...again, too small for my needs and it's sad because it's so pretty. I now have a large navy Cindy satchel on the way from eBay (got her for $111!) and a pale pink medium selma so I have to stop NOW! That's 4 bags in 2 months and the last bag I bought was last August!

Btw does anyone know what MK store return policy is? I checked the receipt but it does not say.

30 days. If it was on sale/clearance, then you cannot return

It was a Hamilton in a light beige colour. The person I gave it to couldn't believe I was giving away a perfectly new and good bag. I guess only bag lovers understand the idea of not bonding with a bag:D

I think if you are constantly worrying about stains on a light bag, it takes the joy out of owning it. So maybe light bags are not for everyone.

hehehe I am! I think the allure of blossom and blush is how difficult it is to find them! I don't think blush was released in the US so if it happens to be...boy am I in trouble. I'm receiving my pale pink selma satchel today though and fingers crossed that I love it!

Oh I know! I have a Kate Spade wallet that looks like MK's raspberry color and it's adorable. I always stare at it and my mom wants to take it from me haha.

Thank you!

Lol! I am same way and have only 2 light colored bags that I will only use for special occasions. I don't enjoy constantly worrying about staining them either. I love how pretty they are, but many dark colors are just as pretty and you don't have to worry.

I had buyers remorse with a black E/W hamilton. I carried it a couple of days but the black lining drove me crazy. I couldn't find anything in there! It sat in my closet unused after that.

Purchase a bag organiser in a lighter colour of your choice.
They are only a few dollars on Ebay.
I use one so that I can transfer items from bag to bag in under a minute :graucho:

+1 regarding the purse organizer.
And I prefer black bags with black interiors because I hate seeing a lighter color along the edges when the bag is partially closed.

I like your Iris tote. I've never seen this color in real life but I prefer darker shade of purple. I can't wait to see what MK is gonna have in purple this fall.

Thank you! I usually only carry neutral bags. Those two purples are my only brightly colored bags. I can wrap my head around using them because purple is my favorite color.

I don't necessarily regret any of my purchases (other than my ew hamilton, will get to that) but I have ended up selling/returning every MK bag I have purchased. I will use them for between 1 and 8 months and in the end just get tired of them very quickly. For the most part I really love them in the beginning, but the appeal wears off fast (in comparison to my LV, which I have had for over a year and will probably never get rid of).
For the Hamilton, I really wanted this specific one for a long time, the East West in raspberry. I miraculously found one at Dillard's after the color had sold out everywhere. But I only used it for a day or 2, I found the straps were too small to put it over my shoulder, and I hated the way it looked when I used the longer strap and the handles were hanging down. It was also surprisingly heavy, to wear on my forearm anyway. Ended up returning it, was a bit of a tiff with the Dillard's lady who didn't want to take it without the tag attached but I got my $ back in the end.
