Michael Kors Buyer's Remorse?

Here is my Jet Set in Iris. It is rather brighter than this
Does it looks closer to violet or grape? I was hoping MK would come out with a lavender or lilac purple like kate spade. I guess I should keep waiting ><
I was hoping maybe I could spot one at TJMAXX or Marshall's
I often see the outlet version but I saw the EW hamilton at TJMaxx a long time ago.

It's crazy how quickly I get buyer's remorse! My mom says I am the most indecisive person ever. I can take forever pondering over whether I like something or not and I ask a lot of people for opinions. At the end of the day I get the one I really want but sometimes it takes awhile for me to get there!

Recently I had a lot of issues with the medium colette..kept wanting to keep her and exchanged for the larger size. After I returned the medium size I couldn't stop thinking about her but knew the size wasn't practical for me so I kept the large. I still have the tag on it because I am still not 100%. Same thing happened with my pale pink studded medium selma messenger...again, too small for my needs and it's sad because it's so pretty. I now have a large navy Cindy satchel on the way from eBay (got her for $111!) and a pale pink medium selma so I have to stop NOW! That's 4 bags in 2 months and the last bag I bought was last August!

Btw does anyone know what MK store return policy is? I checked the receipt but it does not say.

I think Grape is brighter. And if I remember correctly, Violet is brighter, as well. Here they are side-by-side

When I bought my PP selma medium messenger from my MK flag store, I was told that since I pre-paid it by a secure website, I did not have the option of returning it. That's why they emailed me pictures and mesurements on beforehand. If I physically bought it in the store , then I could return it. The SA said this was the same practice for all MK stores.... You bought yours the same way, right?

No I called them over the phone because my billing address is located in that city (and my SO lives there). So they took my card number over the phone and shipped it to me. I have the original receipt as if I did it in store. I will probably just go tomorrow since I have to pick up my graduation dresses at the same mall anyway. Hope I can return it!

Then I'm sure it will be okay. I have the original receipt as well, but they offer only the warranty- not the exchange option since I'm not in the same city.

That's what I do if i am not happy with a bag I bought . I either give or sell it to a friend, or I donate as a raffle prize for the cancer benefit we do each year through my motorcycle club. I usually love most of the bags I buy.
I don't feel the same about preferring Saffiano over soft leather however. In fact I don't have or even want any. There is a whole thread about this in the ,handbags and purses' forum, here on the tpf. Check it out. Saffiano isn't as in demand as many seem to think. The majority in that thread all prefer genuine leather. Some complain about the smell of Saffiano and various other complaints. That thread actually helped me decide to stick with my leather bags.
You really can get many structured bags in genuine leather. much of this depends on your life style as well. I travel quite a bit so I need bags that can bend and move and are easily pack able. Those large structured bags just take up too much rroom for me. I can take my huge soft leather Astor bag , fold it in half and put it in my suitcase quite easily. You won't be folding any Selmas in half. Lol!
I do think I have way more than I need. There is a simple solution for buyers remorse. sell it and get another one! Lol! If it makes you feel any better, designer bags are an investment.
My daughter will inherit a small fortune just with my handbags alone! Lol! So I really never have much buyers remorse. I think they are a fun, useable thing to collect. They make me happy and life is too short to be anything but happy.

IMO buyer's remorse happens easily with MK because there are so many lovely styles and colours to choose from! You never know if your perfect combination of colour, style and the right hardware is just about to be released! Also because of the cost I suspect we want to make sure we're making the right investment?
I've been very indecisive about 2 out of 3 of my MK bags. Poor DH spent at least an hour in Starbucks opposite the MK Berlin store while I ummed and ahhhed about what to get. Thankfully he's a patient kind of guy and I don't drag him out shopping at home! :coolio:

Agreed!!!!

Yes, I once bought an MK bag in a very light colour despite the fact that my handbag collection is made up entirely of dark and bold colours. Needless to say I didn't carry the bag and later gifted it to a relative who was puzzled at being given a bag in near mint condition.

Lesson learned: don't buy something outside your comfort zone.
