exact same thing with my baby rocco. the leather on the piping has worn away only to reveal the plastic piping underneath. my bag is the one with black studs and the piping for my bag is black. not too sure why but yea it is worn away anyways. the bag spa in my country offers services to fix it to be good as new but it will cost 210. honestly speaking, is it worth my money to fix it if im not even 100percent sure if it will ever start wearing away again in months time.

my conclusion is to just make full use out of it since i have it anyways. i love the style and i wont ever buy another wang bag because of the quality of it. so im going to make full use out of it as an everyday bag while saving up for a better bag in the future.

so sorry to hear this...but is there a chance that this bag spa will warranty their work if they do fix it up "good as new". it might be worth a shot if they do warranty it in case it breaks again.

So it's been about 4 MONTHS since I posted this Rocco problem. here is where I am at right now.:wtf::cursing::tup:

I am currently waiting for my bag to be repaired by AW. AW does have a one year warranty so they did accept to "review" my handbag. About 8 weeks after I sent my Rocco to be reviewed, I received a package from AW. It was my Rocco (still not repaired) and an invoice for $300. I was furious because there was no letter of explanation. I called their customer service line...which is a total hit and miss. The lady that was helping me was actually NO HELP AT ALL and she had the worst attitude ever. To make a long story short....some how some way there was a mixup. AW concluded that they will fix my bag! :woohoo:

So now I am waiting again and I hope this time I will get my bag fixed!

To people who are having problems with any AW bags..contact the corporate office! I mean, stalk them and harass them...do whatever you need to do. They need to know what crappy quality they are dealing with.

I don't know if this will ever help me purchase another AW. I definitely gravitate towards the bags at stores...but I am still weary to make that final purchase.

I can't believe what I am reading? AW is a good cool brand that everyone loves, and this is the quality of bags/service they provide? furious just reading about it.. And for a near $1000 bag, you would expect at least decent quality!

Sorry to hear you're going through this. Good luck.:biguns:

Could she even tell you what they heck they had billed you $300 for?! That's ridiculous.

New update

So AW just sent me my bag and guess what……..It’s not fixed and it’s the same crap they sent me back in MAY.:cursing:

Once again I have to send them a thousand emails a day, just to get a response. And most likely they are going to tell me that they made a mistake and I will have to send them my bag AGAIN.
WTF!:wtf:

So far it has been taking me almost 4 months to try and fix this.

I just had an issue with my Miu Miu bow satchel and the manager immediately apologized and said she will be getting it fixed asap. I haven’t gotten anything like that from AW.

I am so over AW and this Rocco bag!

Sorry to read this, but i'm having the same leather-thin issue with my rocco. I wear it for 4 months and i treat bags with good care and respect, you know what i mean. But this leather is so thin! Now i have bag with leather worn away. I'm so dissapointed

I have the same problem. I had it for only 6 months now an the leather wears off and you can see white plastic! it so disappointing! what did you do? does AW fix it?

I'm not sure if your issue was resolved, but did they ever fix your bag? Or apologize for giving you such a runaround?

I am alive!! So AW said that it was pretty much wear and tear and they didn't fix my bag. I had to go a local leather repair store to get it fixed. Then the leather everywhere pretty much came off...you can see the white plastic lining now. Now fast forward a couple of years...I decided to get the AW Rockie and give AW another try. Of course the leather on that bag doesn't last. I officially give up on AW unless the price is at a heavy discount!

When you say the leather on your Rockie didn't last, what do you mean? How long ago did you purchase? Was it before they changed the piping or after?

Yay to you still being here! :D

Oh it's terrible about the bag and the customer service.

how long ago did you buy and how long did you use before the leather became that way? So far my rockie's been holding up well for 8 months and ai just bought a rocco. I love the feel of these bags and the new rocco leather is soft and rhodium studs/hardware are not heavy at all.

One reason i have stayed *close to home* with my bag buying is just that issue. At least with Mulberry i can take it to a store for repair. I had issues with a Chloe bag that had to be sent back to France for inspection and came back the same and swore i would never buy another - i have succumbed since though :). Same with AW. If any repairs need doing its a long way to post a bag and at who's cost from the UK ?. That is what put me off buying one but i saw the Rockie i wanted and it had been reduced to a silly amount so i have chanced it. I would never have paid full price for all the reasons that you sadly have experienced.

Wow! This is shocking! I know someone who has a Rocco that completely fell apart! For a while, I thought that she was just hard on her bags. Now I know that these bags have really bad quality issues!
