Bronze patina on black epsom

Hi. I’ve noticed on my black epsom kelly (SO, lettre, D stamp) a strange bronze/copper-like patina. It’s only on the flap and around it.

Did anyone experience this issue before? I have a B in epsom, stored in the same closet, and no such issue.

Interesting…I’ve never seen that. I’ve heard of “oil slick” on some bags but not Hermes. I’d definitely reach out to hermes.

I read somewhere on TPF about this, and I thought it had something to do with leather tanning, but I don’t remember where or how to fix. Perhaps the search button re spa would help. I would also reach out to H spa or other professional third party services
Common wisdom on TPF is that if you wish to use H Spa, do not use any third party services (I don’t care about resale, as I tend to buy my bags to use and enjoy, so I use both official spa and third party depending on what I want done)

Hi! Does anyone know how long it takes for spa to provide a quotation for boot repair? My store had to send the boots off to Paris for redying...I haven't heard back yet. Not sure if it's normal to wait weeks to hear back. This is the first time I'm sending something in for spa. TIA!

ETA: I had a gold swift Birkin 30, bought at a Covid discount for 5K USD. It was suntanned in the back due to sun fading, and was completely restored by @docride. Yep! I had that too on a togo B35 I owned. Mostly on the inside Chèvre, but a little on the exterior too (although I'm struggling to find a photo that really shows it). I took it to H to get the exterior sorted but not sure it made a lot of difference to be honest! I figured it had something to do with the way the black colour is made. I reached out to Bababebi at the time and if I remember correctly I think she may have had or seen examples of this before.

I would be so upset, please contact Hermes and see what they say& let us know if they fix it. I wonder what caused the issue
