Brands you don't like/don't buy from/find personally to be overrated?

Brands I don’t like:

I haven’t liked Prada RTW or bags or Gucci RTW since perhaps the 1990s Or early 2000s.

On The low end, even when I was slim and younger, I never understood Forever 21. Back then I liked H&M, and a graphite metallic H&M cardigan that I still own is a dead ringer for Brunello cuchinelli s regular metallic sweater collection.

brands I don’t buy from:

Hugo Boss. It’s my understanding that they supplied uniforms to the Nazis in WWII.
althoguh chanel was a nazi sympathizer, the wertheimer s regained control of the company and deemed it both charitable and good business to forgive her and they supported her for the rest of her life.

somehow uniqlo doesnt really work for me, but my mom, my family and friends all love it. I’m sure I’m missing something.

I no longer buy Versace Bc I’m older. I did buy quite a bit of Versace and cavalli when I was younger

brands I find overrated:

Louis Vuitton. I’m not against coated canvas per se bc I calculate cost per wear, but the only LV that I’ve kept in my collection is the original black and white Stephen sprouse for LV called the long or knitting needle alma. I thought LV RTW by Marc Jacobs was cute, but think LV RTW a in general is overrated.

I never understood all the hype re Stella Macartneys RTW line. Or Lanvin. Or Celine. Or Anya Hindemarch. I guess this would fall into the rich young londoner type of shopping? None of that works for my lifestyle.

I also have one piece of VCA, a six motif GMOP Alhambra magic necklace, but I find some of their designs (even ones I adore) somewhat overpriced and overrated. However, I do love other VCA designs and I adore seeing the combinations on the VCA forum.

louboutin, Jimmy choo lasts don’t fit my feet.

Vince. For what it is, it’s overpriced.

I do like and buy Chanel RTW, primarily knitwear, as I have enough jackets from years back (arguably their current jackets, for the money, are vastly overrated), and they are still very expensive on sale.

brand that have relatively good deals and fun items:

dior RTW is fun and their technical taffeta, aka, synthetic, is hard wearing. Brunello cuchinelli RTW, though exceedingly expensive. makes great pants and outerwear. and, Hermes cashmere silk knits are, only relative to other premier designers, well priced and well made.
I can’t believe I forgot about Hugo Boss - it is so disgusting how many of these companies got rich with nazi money & don’t even acknowledge it. Same with a lot of German cars of course.

I have a lot of respect for Jeanne Lanvin & the Art Deco period was so beautiful. They have had a couple of nice things with that aesthetic but it’s a bit all over the place. Also the modern perfumes are horrendous quality.

uniqlo seem to think everyone is petite & skinny but with big shoulders in my experience also the stuff is not unusual not cheap and not good for environment either. I don’t get how they are more ‘fashion’ or better quality than H&M or new look. It’s just good marketing I guess.
