Brand new 2016 reveal

Hi everyone!

I don't usually do reveals for Bal but thought I would with this one as it's brand new this year and seems to be very sparse!

I originally bought the Mini City Regular hardware in Gris Fossile, which was gorgeous, however, I completely fell in love with the new regular gold hardware ( i prefer the gold to regular usually) but the giant gold hardware wasn't really doing it for me on the Mini's. I then saw that they came out with the classic sliver hardware on the mini's and slowly started to introduce the classic gold with a light blue colour. I knew I wanted the shiny classic hardware so I tried on a Gris Fossile with Classic silver hardware and knew I wanted the new classic shiny hardware over the regular.

I went all round London looking for a grey or black with classic gold hardware and everyone kind of looked at me like 'wtf..do you mean metal edge?' no!!!

My last stop was in Bal Mount Street where I was told that they weren't available in the UK and that I should stop looking... but I knew I'd kick myself if they eventually came out with Classic Gold with black/grey....

So long story short..they finally came in online!! I instantly ordered it and it arrived yesterday!

Congrats on finding it! I think gold regular hardware is still very new and I'm not surprised the SA don't know anything about it. I'm glad you were able to find it! I am very excited about the release of gold Reginald hardware as well. Did you find this gold hardware to be a very yellow gold? How does the gold color compared to those on the metallic edge bags?
From your picture and from others I've seen they just look less yellow, more of a pale gold than a really yellow gold to me. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure it's the same as whats used on the ME - my problem with this giant gold hardware on the Mini City was that it looked very yellow and over powering so I definitely think the Regular Gold hardware is softer and slightly paler. It's also shinier so bounces the light off really nicely which I think gives it a more pale look.
The only issue is the zip hardware; I find the zips to be yellow on both the giant and the regular gold hardware.

I have a black City with Giant Gold hardware so I'll try and post a comparison picture in a bit!

I'm pretty sure it's the same as whats used on the ME - my problem with this giant gold hardware on the Mini City was that it looked very yellow and over powering so I definitely think the Regular Gold hardware is softer and slightly paler. It's also shinier so bounces the light off really nicely which I think gives it a more pale look.

The zips are the same colour and I would say the bale/circle loop holding the strap is a fraction lighter on the classic gold but that may just be because the giant gold City is older and more beaten up/tarnished! I think I prefer the classic gold now!

Thank you for the detailed photos! I do love how it's more reflective than the giant hardware. The cross hatching does seem to make the gold appear more yellow compared to the smooth surface of the regular hardware.
