I haven't seen this color yet - Indigo Box from around 2002 I believe. There were a few years that H made Indigo Box with PH specifically.

The last photo is courtesy of Haute Gallery where you can get a much better idea of this color in the direct light! In indirect light, this looks almost black.

This is beautiful - what a great rendition of Indigo. Imagine it with one of the Shibori scarves! I definitely need a dark Kelly with PHW......

Here is my new-to-me Natural box Kelly 28, born 1992. She is so soft and buttery compared to my newer bags. I'll post a family box picture when I get home from my summer traveling, but had to share this beauty. She is just yummy.ImageUploadedByPurseForum1406838679.562150.jpg

The only other box bag I have with me now is my BBK from 2003. The 2003 box is very smooth with a bit of a sheen, and stiffer. The 1992 natural box is literally buttery soft and creamy. The grain doesn't show at all, whereas the grain/texture of the BBK is evident if you look (if that makes sense). ImageUploadedByPurseForum1406839160.771042.jpg

This is a wonderful comparison the buttery smoothness of the natural box is so obvious.

There's no such thing as natural box. It looks like natural Chamonix to me. The patina is so dreamy, love love it

That's very interesting HP, does chamonix pick up such an incredible sheen over the years? The patina is gorgeous. I've always thought chamonix gets a matt-ish patina at best not an high shine like this.

I might be wrong, is there any possibility that previous owner did some pretreatment to the gorgy kelly? A conditioned kelly chamonix could look exactly like this. The stitching on the clochette is a bit lighter than the body. I am no expert anyway, paging docride....:sos::sos:

I think you may be right! Docride says it could be either chamonix or box, she can't tell for sure. It has a gold stamp, which is why I thought box calf, but she says that gold chamonix would have a gold/silver stamp - only natural chamonix has the brown.
