Hat Trick .... Your 2 vintage beauties are in such an amazing condition and absolutely great pieces in own. My admiration and appreciation of Hermes box leathers constantly elevate when I see amazing pieces like yours, which stand the test of time.

Quelle Fromage ... Your Raisin Whitebus is so beautiful. The finish and condition is very, very good. I am inspired! Please share modelling pics, if possible, as it will be great to see how this beauty plays out with different outfits.

Thank you :flowers: That bag is terribly scratched for that price! I just placed an SO for a 28 black sellier (not box sadly) so I can bide my time til either that comes in or a box Kelly shows up (or both LOL!).
Meanwhile a little more raisin box meditation....the 2002 box has the same shimmer that my 2000 BBK did....ommmmmmm

Your whitebus is amazing! Looks brand new! Can't wait to see your SO. I placed my SO last month and the wait is killing me:).

As promised 1953 Kelly and Princess 1.

Hi all. Ive been searching the forums on how to moisturize vintage box leather and ended up going with the suggestion to use blackrock leather n rich on a recent purchase.

I recently bought a '91 bbk 28 sellier with ghw and it seems dry in areas (faint lines and feeling dry to touch) but looks to be in excellent condition otherwise, so have not taken it for spa.

I havent seen or felt a difference after the blackrock application.... Does it require multiple applications? Is there another product i should be using for additional moisture?

Also is it alright to spot treat the areas rather than apply to the entire bag?

Im avoiding using it until properly moisturized as i dont want irreversible cracks to form.

Thanks in advance!

you need to look in the Reference section
and ask Docride's advice Docride's Hermes vintage bag nightmares & Hermes
please excuse the red - I copied and pasted
you will soon see that Docride does not recommend blackrock now
and I think it is because she has found that people use it too heavily

I'm sure you have the right approach - little and often
have a lightly impregnated cloth, put the bag on your lap and gently caress it whilst you watch the TV
You have what sounds like a classic bag that would be the envy of many
Good luck

If you read through this thread, I think you will find your thoughts are confirmed and that your grandma's back might date from a golden age - lucky, or what.
Congratulations.

Thanks!! I think i might need to use a caliper and measure when I have time in my hands. By touch it is thinner than my rigide box kelly. So exciting!
