Box Calf / Veau Box through the years #boxcalfnerds

My vintage boxes, left to right :
1962
1979

So I did run with the bag.

Here is Mdm 1962 (R stamp). Size 32. What had been done :
1/ leather cleaned and preserved
2/ metal hw replaced with brand new
3/ new double loop handle and new strap also in box calf
4/ the lock is old but craftsman gave her special leather bound. New box clochette/keys
5/ new dustbags

Interior as expected is not restored. Have marks but no tear. Some areas around the flap I shall DIY-condition to give some moisture. Years down the road I will send her for H spa once more. She deserves TLC after working hard for 54 years.

Super collection, I'm new to box and love the texture so I found myself a Kelly 32 in blue box from 1993.
It's gone to spa for a touch on the corners but it looks really fine for the rest, hope I get her back in perfect shape.
Another recent find was a Constance 23 in red box from 1999 that is even to good to send to spa, just a few superficial scratches that might vanish after some buffing with Saphir. I really love the shine of box! It's addictive. But I'll try to avoid rainy days to preserve the box leather and use a togo or epsom bag that days.

Gorgeous color and perfect wrinklefree looks for a 50 year old lady!
I love the idea of adopting lightly used vintage bags and giving them a new home and a well deserved spa It gives you a bag you can use without worries for years.
