Few months back I found a vert fonce 1993 kelly. It was a little dry as you can see the closeup, I decided to acquire it and try working on it as a project using renovateur and polishing and conditioning over 6months. It's did help improve the condition quite a bit.
I used Hermes saddle balm to polish this vintage jet clutch. It nourishes the rather dry leather and gives a nice patina

I have only used Blackrock and haven't had much time to read Docride's entire thread. These are awesome project photos.

Thanks Jadeite [emoji4] Yes. I'm glad I was brave to ask the question when I visited FSH the very first time! I only asked for the most classic Box leather in sellier but nothing else. Now I treasure even more! The color turned after some years. I don't carry often but I do carry whenever I feel like it.

This a photo from the most recent.

 Everything in this photo is stunning!

Thank you. The Plume was recently bought from a reseller and in great condition so the credit goes to her! I hope I maintain it as well as she did.
To me some of the older leathers are in a league of their own & can never be replaced. I feel fortunate to have them.

I totally agree about the older leather, especially box. I am very new to the world of Hermes and have also been fortunate to obtain a few box bags, will definitely try to take a family photo.:smile1:

It surprises me you are new to the Hermes world! I thought you had been collecting for years!
I started about 3 yrs ago. I have a mixture of old & new. It's nice to have the freshness of an unworn bag but there is a beauty about the older well maintained ones I may prefer. Even fixer upper bags which I don't trust my skills with and will leave for someone else for now.
To me that is the beauty of Hermes and an educational experience too

I am quite new to Hermes. I visited my home store a few times in 2013, interested in the Picotin. SAs I encountered were cold and aloof.:hrmm: I was so disappointed and gave up on Hermes until last year. As they say, time heals all wounds...not to mention, being on vacation and meeting great SA at other stores.:smile1: 2015 was the year I fully ventured in the world of Hermes and started my collection. I definitely made up for lost time!:giggles:

Back on topic, my family photo of black box bags. Hoping to add some other box colors to this family some day.

Very beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I do not get tired seeing all these beautiful bags. Rouge H is on my list. Your Kelly is very pretty. Your BBK looks so good! I bought a BBK 32 from the 70s and brought it to H. I cant wait to see what it looks like coming back. Any thoughts on waterproofing? Last weekend I got two more blisters on another box bag from snowflakes. Grrr.
