Your kelly looks great!

So does yours!! These are quintessential Kellys, I think. Do you carry yours a lot? I'd love to see mod shots...we could start a Rouge H mod shots thread :graucho:

Here's their (slouchier) older sister....

Wowwwwwww! Beautiful!! The box calf looks amazing.

Can I ask you both, if you ever have time, to post closeups? Part of this thread is about how box changes texture, sheen, feel over the years (the rest is just pure nerding out over its sheer gorgeousness :p).

Yes! Let's all post close-upas and compare (and geek out over the gorgeousness)!

That is such a pretty bag! How have you maintained it so nicely?

That is all to the credit of a lovely tPFer who took great care of it (although I've had the bag a few years now). It's nearly pristine, so I don't carry it very much. I'm ok with it being a special occasion bag, because it's, well, special, and it's amazing for events, etc. (I do kind of wish Mira Duma hadn't gotten one six or eight months later and taken it everywhere, but will not let that spoil my love for the bag!)
ETA: It does get a small amount of Blackrocks occasionally as, at 35, with no signs of dryness at all, like any of us it still deserves a nice moisturizer!

Yes!! That's exactly what this thread is for...feel free to shamelessly and openly obsess about the luscious feel and shine of your box bag and the richness of the color!!

I actually dont carry mine a lot. I am afraid to use it. When do you use your kelly? Do you carry it to work?
It's only for dinners and events....as in the post above, I am ok with that. I carry my black and gold Kellys more and for work it is gold Togo Kelly, Bolide, Evie, Garden Party or occasionally a Birkin. However if it already had wear I would use it more. I would love to have an everyday Rouge H bag. My only everyday box bag is my Bolide as it's nicely pre-loved.

As the recent discussion is about Rouge h so may be I'll share some pics of my boxcalf here. Hope you don't find her too "juvenile" to be in this thread [emoji16]. Size 25, born in year N in a square.

An older bigger sis of her, born in year T in a circle (1990). Yes, I found the older boxcalf more buttery too.

Both beautiful!!! I definitely find older box to be softer and more butterfly, and more pliable.

Thank you for sharing. Your kelly 25 looks stunning! I agree that the older box leather looks more buttery and it's definitely soft to touch. My other kelly with epsom leather feels more rough and bumpy.

Identical twins! The late 70s and early 80s were def great for Rouge H. I love the plum-colored RH bags too!
