Workplace Boss caught me on the internet...advice?

apey brings up a good point. I gather from her post and on others she's written on tpf that she's worked her way up the ladder and paid her dues. She's proven that she's trustworthy and hard-working, hence the freedom she's earned.

I'm not at this point in my career yet. I just started mine a few years ago. I hope to be in a position like apey's someday, but before I get there, I need to prove to my employer that I'm trustworthy and won't waste company resources and time. I hardly even have my cell phone on me. If I need to take a mental break, I chat very briefly with my co-workers. It must be paying off cuz, like I mentioned earlier, I've been given opportunities no one else at my company has been given. My co-workers, on the other hand, conduct a lot of personal business on their computers and constantly text their SOs and friends.
