It's a lovely bag....congratulations? I say that questionably because you seem unsure as to whether you really like it or not. Coach's marketing must not stink anymore because they seem to have you all twisted up. YOU are the most important person who carries this bag, not Lea Michele, whoever that is. It doesn't matter who is buying the bag, YOU are the most important person who bought it! You are unique and chic and it's not about the bag at all. A bag is just a bag; a thing. It doesn't give you an image and no bag is "exclusive." That's just a great tagline some ad man came up with. Do not allow yourself to be bamboozled. .....Sigh.....If you really need to see who's carrying it, there is page on the Coach site called "Spotted". At that page you can view the important, beautiful, and sophisticated people who are carrying their Borough bags and your mind will be at ease. At least for awhile, until you run across someone like me, who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks most of my life, still got a little biker in me, a little hippie in me and suddenly the sheen falls off of your luxury bag.

What she said.

Just wiped out my whole inbox. And my subscription thread again! How does one subscribe to threads? Do you automatically do it when you post on one? I just deleted my subscriptions about 3 weeks ago and here's a whole bunch again.

This is funny. I love it when I see people who are very different from me carrying bags that I also like...tells me that I'm getting less matchy-matchy and boring and actually becoming a little more interesting and cool. I like my more recent (new and vintage) Coach bag collection a lot more now that you ladies are showing me awesome mods and giving me new ideas. Of course, now that I am more cool, I am also more broke. :-)

When I was in NYC last year, I saw a young lady dressed really nice, carrying a Rory and walking down the street, probably to work. Very different clothes than what I wear but same bag that I own and we both made it look great I thought.

I wish I had a Borough, someday I plan on getting one. I would like the Retro Glove Tanned Camel colored one! Or the Pebbled Moss or Oxblood, they are all so nice! The point was, there are people like me carrying that bag, not just beautiful, classy looking people. I may not always appear classy but I try to treat others classy and behave in a classy manner. Sure, I never know which is right fork to use at big dinner when there are a bunch of them on the table LOLOL. But really, how much does it matter? My post was not meant to be ill spirited at all. We as women rock on our own. We don't need some "special" person carrying some "special" bag to validate that our choice was the correct one for us.

Ok, you don't know me so I feel that just because you read a few of my opinions/posts you assume quite a bit. I am a very hardworking person who buys what they want, when they want, and certainly doesn't rely on others opinions to dictate what I like or think is "cool" or wtv. I am a very free-spirited and "hippy" kinda gal myself, with amazing taste and yes, sometimes I doubt my purchases, I am human! I have a masters in marketing so you do not have to tell me about coach's marketing and how it affects me or others way of portraying their products, I know all about it. I think people are giving wayyy too much thought on this lol the reality is I bought a bag, wasn't sure how I felt about it because it is very unlike my other handbags, now I love it, end of story.

On posts #12 and 15 you were asking how people felt about the bag. She was responding to your questions.

That's probably why when I do a reveal, I don't ask for opionions because I don't care. It's enough for me that I like the bag and I don't really care what others think. If I had questons like that I would ask friends who know me.

WOW, Jailnurse, I need that nail your hit right on that head! :)
Love the fact that you can recognize the borough bag or any bag is an individual purchase and the love should be that as well. Thanks for the reminder !

Congratulations on your Borough!! It is a beautiful bag. And to answer your original question, yes. I have seen many blogs about this bag and how it is bringing people who moved on to other brands "back to Coach." And yes, their marketing has been all over the place and that has turned many people away from the brand as has their pricing strategy.

Enjoy her and if you bought the bag because you saw a celebrity buying it, than good for you and good for Coach fans. People are taking notice and perhaps they are getting their marketing efforts together. This is a handbag forum and it should be a fun place to celebrate and share, not to judge your reasons for wanting a bag. If that were the case, I am pretty sure 95% of the world would think we were all batsh%t crazy!!!

Good point! I've bought several bags because I saw TPF people carrying them in mod shots, so I'm certainly guilty of copying someone who has rocked a bag I might not have noticed otherwise.
