I started off buying Coach and then I went to Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, Givenchy, Gucci (I never cared for the leather on Bals) and I find myself coming back to Coach each time. The quality of the "luxury" bags is about the same as what I pay a fraction for with Coach. I am a bit leery spending $700 on a Coach because resale isn't that great so I have to make sure the bag I buy is going to be in my collection for a very long time. The Borough is a classic and functional bag. I hope you enjoy her!!

Oh I totally agree on the resale aspect! I would have never bought it with the intention that I might sell it eventually, that's for sure. I feel it's a "safe" bag, and one I'll keep as a go-to in the future.

You definitely picked the perfect, timeless, bag! I am going to be getting one real soon too. I keep gravitating toward some colors, washed chambray is one of them, but I think in 5 years from now I would still be using the black. :smile1:

It's a lovely bag....congratulations? I say that questionably because you seem unsure as to whether you really like it or not. Coach's marketing must not stink anymore because they seem to have you all twisted up. YOU are the most important person who carries this bag, not Lea Michele, whoever that is. It doesn't matter who is buying the bag, YOU are the most important person who bought it! You are unique and chic and it's not about the bag at all. A bag is just a bag; a thing. It doesn't give you an image and no bag is "exclusive." That's just a great tagline some ad man came up with. Do not allow yourself to be bamboozled. .....Sigh.....If you really need to see who's carrying it, there is page on the Coach site called "Spotted". At that page you can view the important, beautiful, and sophisticated people who are carrying their Borough bags and your mind will be at ease. At least for awhile, until you run across someone like me, who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks most of my life, still got a little biker in me, a little hippie in me and suddenly the sheen falls off of your luxury bag.
