No flipping at all. There was one picture I took where it was pointing down just a bit, so I tried to figure that out and recreate it in the mirror. I think it's because I am getting over the flu for the second time in two weeks, and I have bronchitis, so my chest is sort of sticky from Vicks vapor rub..lol. The necklace got stuck for a brief second. But it fixes it's self immediately. It does not flip totally over at all, but I don't think any of the single DBTY do that because of the ear placement and 2 and 10 instead of 3 and 9 like the multi-stone ones.

I love my bluenile bezel solitaire (in YG - i particularly like the weight of the chain) and I'm a little thrown by how crooked yours looks. Maybe you really should say something. If it's not noticeable to the naked eye then fine, but I guess you really zoomed to show us the workmanship.
I also think you look nice in purple - I think most skin tones/hair colors can pull it off! Don't write it off

I got my diamond studs from Blue Nile yesterday also. I am very happy with the diamonds (0.86 tct, H color VS2, 55% table, 62.1% depth) They really sparkle! The four prong setting is ok. It can be better.
I was waiting for your review of the BN pendant. I think I will go with BGD or save the money towards a VCA frivole WG with diamond ring

Once you go over .35ct, BGD starts to be the same price as BN, and the higher you go BGD ends up being slightly less expensive. It really becomes a toss up to features that matter most. I think you will love one from BGD! They are so wonderful to work with too. And the nice thing is you can talk directly to them to ask very specific questions about possible diamond choices.
I'm glad you like the diamonds in your earrings! I'd love to have some myself, but allergies prevent me from doing so.

They will go so nicely with your pendant.BGD would have been cheaper for the studs because BN charges tax in NY. But I wanted the option of 30 day return for the earrings... I'm going to think about it some more about the pendant. Man, I wonder what my husband will think since we purchased a few pieces recently
Well if you seem to like the size of your earrings, but are unhappy with the setting, why not return them and go with BGD? BGD has a 15 day return policy.
I have had a pair of my daughters yellow gold cz earrings in all day as a test. One ear is fine, the other is not. Still, I never would have made it a whole day in white gold or silver. I was hoping I could wear YG and get a pair of diamonds yet. No such luck.

Oh I do like the earrings, and I am keeping them. I had them on since last night, and so far no problem!
I cannot do silver, but YG and some WG are ok. Never tried platinum.
Does 18k YG bother you also? I find it works better for me.

I just wanted to add that if anyone wants to go with Tiffany's DBTY pendant, per my SA, they can put a little piece of metal of your choice to keep the culet from irritating your skin.
