My SA at SCP seems very knowledgeable, not only about CC handbags but also about how the Bloomies Card works. So I must say it is reliable in my opinion. However, if you ladies have SA at Bloomie, please confirm this info with them. I also wanted to hear from other SA's in NY and Chestnut Hills to see what they say. So please share what you hear from your SA once you talked to them. Thanks.

nat74: I got the same info from my SA @SCP couple weeks ago. Starting Feb 2012, no discount can be applied to Chanel when opening a new bloomingdale cc account, only rewards points will be received.

Thanks littlecutie for confirming what I heard! Now I feel this info is more reliable because I am not the only one hearing it. :smile1:

Will check with others from Chestnut Hill as well. If it's true, I guess have to switch to Sak's 10%.

Seems Chanel starts limited what number and kind of bags that will be distributed to department stores. If my prediction is correct, then 5k on classic ones is right around the corner along with where to buy like Hermes.
And once that level is reached, no more complaints on its quality any more :p

They had it in September? Weird, I thought it's only in March and November every year. Maybe they're more generous this year :graucho:

Has anyone tried the discount with other brands such as Prada, Dior, Miu Miu, Valentino, Bottega Veneta and etc? I know for sure LV is excluded, but I'm curious about other brands..

I opened one in September when they had the 20%. I believe Prada and Miu Miu are excluded as well. The sales told me all the leased department are excluded. There were a few others he told me but I can't remember.
