I used to work for Bloomingdale's and there is always a 20% off during their Friend & Family event if you open a Bloomingdale's Card, the next one starts September 30th. Hope this helps

I am pretty sure that the bag has to physically be in stock and on hand. I would call one of the three stores though to double check.
For the F&F event, Chanel provides a freebie if you purchase $150 or above. No idea what the freebie is. I called up bloomingdales to purchase another item under F&F even and on the sideline, inquired whether chanel is included or not.
btw even if F&F starts Sept 30, you can call up bloomingdale starting today for presale. Makes sense if the item you're trying to get has limited stock. Alas, apart from the freebie, chanel is not participating in the 20% off.

I think it is not included. however bloomingdales cosmetics is also offering a freebie for purchase upto a certain amount (can't recall the amount) in lieu of the discount.
I was told by my SA at Bloomie that they will not give the new card discount any more starting Feb 2012 or so. They will only give you points instead, just like NM and BG. So from now until Feb, take advantage of the new card discount and open one for your purchases.
