How does the Bloomingdales discount work if you split the charges on their card and on other card? I was told that the discount would show up on my statement. It'll just show as a credit then?

How does the Bloomingdales discount work if you split the charges on their card and on other card? I was told that the discount would show up on my statement. It'll just show as a credit then?
It will just be a credit. Usually my SA splits just enough so I see 0 balance on my Bloomingdale's account.
i also got 300 dollars limit so i purchased 300 dollars on blooming and others in my amex. and i asked if i can get 15% of the entire price and my sa said of course. she just splitted the price to two different cards and i got entire 15%. i did see that other price except 300 dollars were listed in billing statement which says that splitted purchase or something like that and 300 dollars on bloomigndales minus 15%. so i got minus balance. i requested the check for that online and i got the check.
just say to your sa that you want to split the price to two cards. when i call credit service before i ask to my sa, they said they cannot increase my limit. so i was frustrated but my sa who worked more than 10 years knew how to do it and she said she does that everytime. just ask to senior sa or manager.
How do I ask for this? I just opened a credit card online and was told by the SA to call credit services to have them up my limit; however, I want to put as little on my bloomingdales as possible and put the rest on a different card. Any advice?
I guess BK answered your question. You just need to tell your SA that you want to split charges and just double check with him/her that you will still be getting the full 15%. Your SA should know what to do if he/she is experienced.
There is no way you can call the CSR to increase your limit. Your SA should be the one doing this if needed. The SA should be the one calling and tell the CSR that there is a customer trying to purchase Chanel and to approve the major purchase transaction IF you just want to use your Bloomies' card only.
I prefer to split to transaction to my other cards since I can get additional cash back.
I'm nor sure about reopen the card. But I recently got my Chanel bag from Saks and the discount to open the card is 10%. The weird thing is that they only give that 10% on the balance that you put on their card, for example, if you buy a classic flap for $4400 and they only approve $3000 on your Saks card, you only get $300 off instead of the whole $440. And if only you put the entire amount on the card.Hi Ladies i know it an old thread. But does bloomingdales still give customer 15% off when you open a new card? is that a limit on the discount??
Plus if you have a card before and you closed it. You can reopen after 3 months that what i heard is that correct??
TIA
i just check bloomingdales.com today and it's 15% discount. it must be for a limited time, because i check yesterday and it was 10%.
Does that include Chanel? Wonder if I can get 15% discount on Chanel bag, hehehee it will be niceee!
