UPS is supposed to be delivering it today (I missed him yesterday! grrr) I am going to make my "final" choice then. I was second guessing myself about keeping the Audra.... Stay tuned.... lol

Hey....Neiman's is offering free shipping on orders over $175...for their mix up on your order, you should at least demand you get free shipping if you already haven't. Just a help fyi. :idea:

I didn't realize that it was a debit credit card....so it took that money out twice from your checking account? Yes, I would have been royally ticked. :evil:

For me, the Audra wins hands down. I went back and forth several times in the mirror...modeled for my boys ( LOL! They are usually pretty good at fashion and decorating choices) and for me, the Audra is the better choice.

I wish that I hadn't second guessed myself....now I have to pay to ship it back, but at least I *know* I made the right choice.

I am a confused individual. :huh:

How long did it take. I placed an order with Neiman's and she put it through 7 times. SHe said she canceled the 6 orders, but now a bag came in I want and now my card is declined because of her mistake. How long does it take for the charge to fall off. SHe said she did not get an approval for them, but the orders were placed. I guess once the order is placed the money is on hold?
 
I'm stunned that a store like NM has sales takers making such mistakes! My money was held up for 2 days - I was furious but it could have been much longer and I'm the impatient type - I did make a big fuss on the phone and a supervisor called me back to apologize and assure me it would get cleared up. How long ago did this happen? If longer than 2 days, I would hound them.

She didn't get an approval from who? Your cc company? If she didn't run it through, then it shouldn't have put any money on hold.
Can you call your cc company to see what actually was done?

Why did she have to put an order through that many times?

I called and placed an order through there catalog and the person said her computer locked up and all the orders where placed. She had different order numbers. She went in and canceled them, but she said being they were placed and an order number was given that some how the credit card is authorized for the amount before they process it. I am not familiar with this process. She said every time you place an order and get an order number the money is placed on hold until the order is processed or if it is not processed it falls off. I was wondering how long being she did not know. I am so..... angry. Maybe it was a computer problem, but most of the things I have received from them have been damaged or I have had problems with them. Has anyone bought a new paddington? I have had 3 and used them and had to return them being the gold on the lock and hardware all chipped off. Are the new ones improved?
 
Bagqueen, Did you use a debit card for the transaction? I did and I think that is why the authorizations go through instantly. - Let me know how your problem is resolved - This kind of stuff makes me crazy.

Bagqueen, I hear the paddington lock has a tendency to scratch. I don't know if you can avoid it, but I'll find out once my paddy comes. =) Ohh btw, where did you first purchase your bag?

I used my Neiman's card and they told me it is the same for a debit card as a credit card. They told me it will take up to 4 days for it to fall off. I am so upset.

I had a cream paddington from Bergdorf and the lock and the metal clips on side all the gold chipped off the lock and the clips and silver was exposed. I returned that and I received a chocolate brown one from Neiman's. Used it 2 weeks and the same thing happened. SO I had another in red and I returned both of them and now I do not have any. I was called yesterday that the creme and the wine is in and I asked for them to charge my Neiman's and that is when I found out that all those orders where on hold on my account. After the defects I am not sure if I want one now. That is why I was wondering if the quality of the metal is better. The last batch was just a coating of gold over silver and I was told a lot of them chipped and had problems. ALso on my old creme the lock would all a sudden be unlocked and openned at times. I am lucky I never lost it.
