Sigh… thank you for that. I buffed all the scratches out. I turned on all the lights And inspected everything. you know I never ever thought when shopping in store if the item Was returned. The front and back look good. The sides are a whole different pebbled animal. said 1 of 1. does that mean it was the only one made at that time? I’ll sleep on it and look at it again in the morning… I appreciate your incite always LJ.
I love the size of the Tilton. My laptop slides right in. I can see using it every trip I take. It is beautiful from the front and back. I’m really not digging the sides…
Glad you are taking the time to decide.... after that initial disappointment.
A decision made the next morning is usually the better one.
One of one might mean it was a sample bag. Hopefully the product run will be better.
We tend to think of samples as unique and fresh and special.... but in fact,
that is often not the case. In many companies sample items don't go thru
a standard production process, so they often don't have all the details
or meet any regular production standards. I've seen sample bags at
warehouse sales (several different companies) that don't have interior linings
or pockets or where the stitching isn't up to the companies standards.
Of course, sometimes samples are one of a kind works of art, put together
by hand (by craftsman/craftswomen). they are used when the
company markets a new line to major buyers (dept stores, etc.) But that is not always the case.
