Thank you. I was not prepared for the ivy to be so beautiful. I watched a YouTube video where the lady did a dooney haul from the outlet. she pulled out the small navy satchel. I was so in love with her bag. I knew i wanted navy. I did end up getting ivy In 2 bags. I got the domed crossbody in Ivy and chestnut. I didn’t post the ivy one in my haul pics tho. my Unicorn bag should be here today. It is part of my haul but they didn’t sell it in stores.

From your pics, it doesn't look like anyone used the bag....
the strap is still folded and wrapped.
Remember, in a dept. store you never know how many
people have touched a bag or even bought and returned it.

If you are not happy with the quality or it has defects you can't
live with, then return it. Don't let the fact that someone might have
opened the bag and then returned it get in the way of loving the bag.

You never know if the next one you order will be nicer, or not.
And Dooney generally doesn't cover the cost of the return unless
there is a major and obvious defect. They consider pebbling normal for leather.

It's your choice and you should be happy, but it can get expensive
ordering and returning multiple bags. Not to mention the hassle and
follow-up to be sure you get your credit for the cost.

Sigh… thank you for that. I buffed all the scratches out. I turned on all the lights And inspected everything. you know I never ever thought when shopping in store if the item Was returned. The front and back look good. The sides are a whole different pebbled animal. said 1 of 1. does that mean it was the only one made at that time? I’ll sleep on it and look at it again in the morning… I appreciate your incite always LJ.

I love the size of the Tilton. My laptop slides right in. I can see using it every trip I take. It is beautiful from the front and back. I’m really not digging the sides…

Glad you are taking the time to decide.... after that initial disappointment.
A decision made the next morning is usually the better one.

One of one might mean it was a sample bag. Hopefully the product run will be better.
We tend to think of samples as unique and fresh and special.... but in fact,
that is often not the case. In many companies sample items don't go thru
a standard production process, so they often don't have all the details
or meet any regular production standards. I've seen sample bags at
warehouse sales (several different companies) that don't have interior linings
or pockets or where the stitching isn't up to the companies standards.
Of course, sometimes samples are one of a kind works of art, put together
by hand (by craftsman/craftswomen). they are used when the
company markets a new line to major buyers (dept stores, etc.) But that is not always the case.

Sorry, I don't escort people to Ban Island, I just help them escape.
Go luck!

Ban island can't keep a collector away from temptation.

To avoid falling off the wagon (or island) we need to stop reading
Dooney forums, stop viewing YT handbag videos, stay away from ebay, and delete all sale notifications without opening them. And that is just too much to ask.... how can we
give up the things that bring us so much pleasure? Even avoiding the sales
stuff, just thinking about the handbags and reading about them is often
dangerous.. For me, great sales are very hard to resist. And I'm very good
at justifying (to myself) why I needed to add that last handbag to my collection.
