Hello H lovers,

I wanted to ask if you have experience with glazing getting scraped when trying to open? It happened to my bag and wonder if H boutique would reglaze it for me? Hope this is not something I need to send to Paris too. Its a minor scrape but still I am OCD about it

This happens to all birkins over time and is normal. The sellier style is especially rigid and harder to close, so it is more prone to this.
I found it, but difficult to read it and take a picture, how do you know which year it is? View attachment 5816441
The first letter B means it is produced in 2023. The date stamp and code is also printed on the receipt (in France at least).

Thank you! It’s very helpful!

Again, I think someone else later contradicted that rumor. Who knows? I heard a rumor Hermès was not going to make the KTG this year, and I've seen them (fleetingly) being offered on the website.
Hello,
I also wanted to ask this! A friend of mine in Paris said it will be discontinued cause too much work with craftsmanship, how will this affect the resale value in the future for B sellier bags in the future ? Thank you!

Hello Hermes lovers, I was recently told by my SA that Birkin Selliers would be, or are already, discontinued with the exception of exotic B Selliers. Those are still being offered. Has anyone else heard this? I am in the US, but would love to know if anyone has any intel on this. Thanks in advance!
I didn’t ask but I got a B25 sellier this year with B stamp. I had wanted a Retourne actually but got offered a sellier in nata. I then heard that nata only comes in sellier.

Hey folks, wanted to get some perspective on whether you would go for Sellier Epsom or Sellier Veau Madame?

I saw many differing opinions on this matter and therefore thought it will be good to discuss.

Knowingly, Veau Madame is supposedly more expensive. Hearing that it may be more prone to scratch or damage. Is there anyone that has both types and can validate it?

Is there anyone that may feel VD is more premium and classy with less grains?

Love to hear all thoughts and if anyone has had made a hard choice on this matter when their Birkin arrived too!

Thanks in advance!

I have both styles - B30 sellier in Nata Epsom and a B30 sellier in Black Veau Madame. I think Epsom and VM are very similar in that they are coated grained leathers. They look equally classy and premium - power bags for sure. I love that they will look the same forever and I’m not a big slouchy Birkin fan. The Epsom I baby it less - just wiping my make up off of it since it’s a cream color. The VM if you brush against it hard you can see a mark but you just rub it out so it’s not a true mark. It’s nowhere near as delicate as box or swift though. I think the slight sheen on it on a dark color makes marks visible but it doesn’t stay if it just brushed against something. VM is more expensive but I got mine at FSH so it was less than my Epsom from US.

Both are gorgeous can’t go wrong with either! Here’s a pic including my Epsom Retourne Mauve Sylvestre.

Asked my sa recently. He said he hasn’t heard that it is being discontinued, but production is less. Wonder if anyone else heard anything?
My girlfriend got and accepted a 25 B sellier recently so I was told not "discontinued" but limited, very limited. So far I have accepted 2 Birkin sellier offer and have declined others.

I hope they make a Birkin 20 Sellier in normal leathers such as epsom, madame, box, sombrero. I know that previously the B20 was only offered in the very limited and special edition Faubourg Birkins. Now they are slowly rolling out exotic B20s in matte alligator and lizard so far... Perhaps next year, we'll be able to get normal leather ones. Thoughts on a regular B20?
