I knew I read somewhere that the prices for the ostrich had gone up. When I was in Hermes in Charlotte on Saturday, mljones, our resident Hermes employee said the 35cm ostrich was $14,700.00. So I'm wondering now why that bag was not affected by the price increase.


My vert fonce 30cm birkin with gold hardware in fjord was $6850 before tax.

Just bought today in Paris 30cm Birkin Swift in Gold, EUR4550 :rolleyes:

And it seems like Togo is EUR50 cheaper than the Swift and Swift is just slightly cheaper than Epsom.
Ladies, is it me or is swift really popular? I have a swift kelly that I have scratched so I am a bit worried, wanted to get a Togo so that it'll be more durable, but they had none left as it seems like all were snapped up over xmas :(

But it defo seems like it's way more expensive in the States.

It just amazes me that how price varies at each store....Even for bearn wallets as well...there is a price variation!! I saw EXACT same wallet in two different stores with about $250 difference by only 1~2 days after seeing the first one!!!:wtf: :shrugs:

This has been a hot topic...we can't seem to get answers on why prices vary so much on the same items.

jasana-togo has not been in abundance for a good while...swift is out in the boutiques much more.

oh i see kellybag, no wonder. I think Swift is a LOVELY leather thou, such a shame it's not as durable as the Togo. But if I do not like bags that slouch so i guess getting Swift was a good thing?

GOSH, the CROC is expensive! What about a 25cm croc birkin? Any ideas how much it is?

BTW, SA in Paris said that some people have actually waited 8 yrs for their birkin cos they are really fussy about what they want, GOSH!

Hi aspen,

I have double-checked my receipt and this is definitely the price I paid recently ($ 7250, plus tax). The only thing I can think of is that my store didn't adjust this bag for last price hike. I certainly did not mean to trouble you. I had admired your Vibrato a great deal and it was an inspiration to me that I might one day find one as well one day. I hope that it all works out and if there is anything else about the bag I can tell you, please just ask, :smile1: .
