I find it quite funny how the OP was seeking for inputs and really eager to share infos/pictures of the bag and stuff but now is reluctant to be fully transparent with how he actually got the bag and ask people to come in DM's ...
I am fully transparent.
Wishlist about a year. No purchase historic. In Italy. Help from VIP, first line football player, italian, very big watches collector (me aswell). Me national (italian), with business connected with nightlife.
Got not exactly what i asked in the wishlist but similar.
Now, call me reclutant.
And yes, for more, DM, if wish. Not gonna lose here my life.
Thought was nice to share pics and my good news as user asked, but never thought user like you would love so much controversy.

It’s an awesome story. It can be useful for someone who has a good connections as you do to skip Hermes game. I’d assume it was a one time exception to get a first bag with no purchase history. Unless you make a good friendship with a store manager. Many people here mention that it’s not rare to get a first quota bag with little or no purchase history especially in Europe. About if exception or not; i don’t know.
About skip; i am not sure too. I was long time in wishlist.
About ‘just one bag’; well, was a present for my gf. I don’t need more. But i will keep being client, as i had a nice experience so from now, if i need to make a present; i may choose Hermes items (for example, after bag, i bought few presents there and few accessories).
About people with vip connections; i think they already use them. Is life.
About can happen even with no connections; i guess so. I see how friends of mine tried to buy Rolex (same problems/controvery that with Hermès) abd they got GMT or Daytona with no history but patience.
Talking with national manager of Rolex; told that normally they stay hot models as reward to people who ‘love the brand and show it expending lot’, what makes sense; but a percent of units are for New collectors (national, with no resell companies, few more details here…), just to let open doors to new clients to join to family; what also makes sense.

This makes sense to me. There is not a “one size fits all” approach for Hermes. I’m glad you were able to get a bag for your GF! Thanks for sharing and hope this doesn’t discourage you from coming back to the forum.
To be fair, I think posting what you've now added, context-wise, was fair and appropriate. You initially came to ask for help; understandably, in a forum setting where crowdsourced information and anecdata inform so much of what people do, giving the good parts (getting the bag!) and the behind-the-scenes (a little overview of the situation) feels like a fair way to both take and give as part of a community. I don't think anyone necessarily meant to make it seem as though they didn't believe you.

I just showed a doubt. Which was possible to answer with a ‘yes’ or with a ‘not’.
I was very friendly & open to answer all what i was asked for, as some users said; to help people in possible similar situation. But yes, i felt like in judgement by some users.
Others; all perfect.
I know how forums work; if you study my short history in this one; i am more who give than who take. I uploaded pics from my items to share with community and so on.
Could not assist much as i am far from expert in fashion. But i think i am not an ‘egoist’ user.
