I wear martini set. I prefer them since the hole in my ear is ever so slightly stretched and I can really secure these in and they don't stick out too much...I like mine as flush as I can get! I also have screw backs since they are in 24/7.

Did it take you awhile to get use to sleeping in them? Do they not poke you when you lye on your side?

Yes, they did poke me. Is the screwback post longer than a normal post?

I planned to take them to my jeweler to get them shortened, but then I simply took my jewelers pliers and shortened the post a wee bit and then filed the tip smooth!

I'm not sure about the length, but I wouldn't think screw backs are any longer.
I want to wear mine all the time, but don't want to be uncomfortable when I sleep in them.

When I upped mine to 1 carat in each ear, I opted for the screwbacks.

I was wearing 1/3 carat friction backs in each ear for over 10 years and those never poked my head!

So perhaps it is just the designer.

I have no problem sleeping with my 1ct stud on each ear. However, I couldn't do it with my 2ct stud on each ear. The bigger backings and larger stones feel too conspicuous and uncomfortable. I was planning to wear mine 24/7 but it's not happening.

Usually the post is a standard size and they make the setting itself deeper to accommodate the stone. I don't believe that screwbacks are typically any longer though. I've not seen that. I am not a fan of those, they tear the hell out of my ears.

I don't think I would like those type post either.

Darling I also have larger than average earlobes in my culture it's the sign of a blessed life

Nonetheless my 1 c.t studs are just so tiny on me and it's ridiculous

So I had them resetted by professional jewellers

Into a pave drop instead of studs

That was the best decision I love them that way

Of course they aren't studs anymore and they are so bam out there all the while being classic and feminine

I will try to upload pictures.after work when I go out to celebrate my birthday week
