Big bucks for canvas?? Really?

Do you suggest Fossil bags? They have some fun, classic designs...but I am a tad shy to buy the brand yet as it isn't well known where I live half of the year (London) and they are sometimes pricey for not being "designer."
I love Fossil bags! I haven't gotten one in awhile but I'm always stopping and checking them out, because their designs and colors/patterns are unique and they seem very well made. :)

I like canvas. It's lighter than leather and not as high maintenance. But I must say I don't really care if what I'm buying is practical or not. I like LVs because they look good and they satisfy my materialistic side :wlae:

That Dior canvas bag is gorgeous!

Speaking just of LV here... since I haven't shopped any others... but I've recently been perusing the pre-loved LV market and it seems like the majority have worn areas, creases, and cracks. Granted, there is lots of life left in these bags, but they certainly aren't indestructible.

Thank you!!! :D I'm thrilled with it!!!

^ Is that really coated canvas? Not leather? I have a Burberry Haymarket check tote which is coated canvas. Plus it still has leather trims, and on the inside it says it was made in Italy with the code, I bought it in the boutique. Apart from denim stains, it really gives me little problem. I love leather more so it is the only coated canvas I own for now, though that may change if I give in to buying a Fendi Zucca bag or MK signature.

I carried a leather shoulder bag all week-end on an out of town trip and it was sooooo heavy. So, so heavy. And the whole time I was wishing I had brought one of my coated canvas handbags. They are lighter weight and I need that now.

Leather is beautiful, but for me I can only use them short term, like out to dinner or for church.

I end up with shoulder and neck problems from the weight of the bag plus contents even if I try to carry very little inside the bag.

Didn't bother me when I was younger. Now it is an issue.

:shame:

I only have one Fossil bag, but I like it very much.

I had heard good things about the brand from others and thought I would give it a try.

My Fossil handbag is a small, leather cross-body, so not canvas, but I have seen several women in my area with the canvas bags.

I don't mind paying $$$ for a luxury brand bag made out of coated canvas. But I am going to be honest, I feel LV is starting to out price them selves on their canvas bags. :-s
Goyard is too expensive too. I refuse to pay $2000 for a coated canvas bag form them or any brand for the record (exception to the LV Mon Mono Keepall). I think I will have to branch to Gucci, Fendi, and YSL when I feel I am totally had enough with LV price increases. I mean I can buy leather bag from Balenciaga in the low one thousand range in the men range products! That how I feel with LV recent prices...it a bit too much for coated canvas for a luxury brand.

Yes, the Dior Panarea bag is canvas.
