Exactly! And, I'm sure Kim/Kanye have a wedding planner. When you have a planner, your RSVPs go to them not directly to the bride/groom. It's like all logic is lost in trying to create these stupid stories.

They weren't talking about a RSVP. They were saying Jayz sent him a gift inscribed with something like from your "Bestman" which told Kanye they were coming to the wedding.

That's what I get for skimming...saw RSVP in the line before and then Kanye prancing all over Kris' house...it was hard to concentrate on the rest after that visual was in my head.

Luxury hotel hunts for leaker who was paid $250,000 for video of Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z

  • The Standard hotel has launched an investigation into which of their employees leaked the security footage
  • Bidding war led to a reported $250,000 price tag for the silent video
  • There has been speculation about what caused Beyonce Knowles' sister Solange to violently lash out at her brother-in-law, Jay Z
  • His record label recently dropped her as an artist and Solange reportedly got into a fight with designer Rachel Roy before getting in the elevator
  • Jay Z is believed to have gone from The Standard event to an afterparty hosted by Rihanna but did not bring Beyonce along

The Standard Hotel has hired a top Hollywood lawyer and is desperately trying to track down the employee who leaked the security footage that showed Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z.
The tape is believed to have been sold to TMZ for $250,000 after a bidding war.
'This was being shopped for five days to the highest bidder,' an unnamed source told The New York Post's Page Six.

Moments later: Solange is seen exiting the elevator with Beyonce and Jay Z immediately after she attacked him for a yet-unconfirmed reason following a Met Ball afterparty

The investigation process is ongoing but has been limited to the handful of people who would have had access to the hotel's surveillance footage.

The hotel, which is known for hosting premiere parties and celebrity soirees, is anxious to track down whoever sold the tape because the footage is legally theirs and they do not want to be seen as breaking the trust of their wealthy patrons who crave privacy.

On the hunt: The Standard is a regular venue used for celebrity after parties but that is based on their dedication to their client's privacy

The Standard quickly put out a statement after the release of the tape, which said: 'We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.'
The statement- and the footage itself- confirmed the veracity of the video which made it hard for the rapper's team to dial back.
'Once it was out, Jay Z’s people felt they couldn’t control it. They were reluctant to try and publicly fight this,' the source told the paper.
Because the tape does not include audio, the world has been left to wonder what caused Beyonce's younger sister to violently lash out at her brother-in-law.
The latest theory from alleged insiders pieces together various different aspects.
Sources told The Post that while Solange was reportedly 'provoked' during an outburst with designer Rachel Roy before getting in the elevator, the singer was dealing with a number of emotional and financial problems that came to a head at that moment.
'She used to be on (Jay Z’s) label, but now she isn’t. And she moved to New Orleans from Brooklyn with her son. Solange still spends a lot of time in New York, but she is further away from her family, which has created some issues,' a source told the paper.

'Clearly she was on something at the party, she was drunk and out of it. The girl is crazy and prone to outbursts. She got in the elevator with Jay and Bey. He had made a comment that she didn’t like, and she just snapped,' another person said.

The incident occurred as the Carter-Knowles clan was leaving The Standard Hotel after party for the Met Ball and Jay Z was reportedly headed to Rihanna's separate party without his wife.

Tensions: Sources claim that Solange Knowles is angry that her brother-in-law's label dropped her as an artist and she has grown more distant from her family after moving to New Orleans with her son

Some reports have argued that Solange may have been overreacting in defense of her sister- who is seen standing in the corner as Solange attacks her husband.
For their part, the notoriously-tight-lipped couple have let their actions speak on their behalf.
Beyonce and Jay Z have sat courtside at two Brooklyn Nets games since the fight occurred, putting on a united front.
She has also effectively made a statement through social media, and even though Solange took the public move of deleting all-but-one traces of Beyonce from her Instagram feed, Beyonce posted four old, tender photo of she and her sister on various trips.

Interesting story and it makes sense:

After talks to multiple sources and witnesses who were present at the Met Gala Event where Jay-z, Beyonce and Solange were in attendance. Alwayzturntup.com has obtained the details of what led up to the altercation between Solange and Jay-z in the Standard hotel elevator last week in New York.

According to multiple sources, Solange (Who seem to be in a bad mood all night after a couple drinks ) Got into a heated argument with renowned designer and friend of Kim Kardashian Rachel Roy.

While It Is still unknown what cause the argument between the two, the next Interaction can be the assumed reason for the elevator assault. Solange was seen getting into the face of Roy and threating her with violence in the crowded gala event. Beyonce attemped to defuse the situation but ended up coming to little sisters defense from the towering 6’1 Rachel Roy. Quoted Saying “You don’t get to talk to anyone in my family like that.” At this point Jay Z became agitated and approached Solange, grabbing her arm and pulling her away From Ms. Roy. Our source says he was heard saying “This is not how we act in public, You are embarrassing Yourself, Dan (Solange’s Son) Your Sister, And Most of all me. Calm The F*ck Down or I will have Ju (Jay z and Beyonce’s Body Guard) TAKE YO *** HOME!!!” Solange reply was simple. While choking back tears she said “F*ck It then, LETS GO!!!” Then Storms off. Followed closely by Beyonce, Jay z, and their bodyguard.

While at the elevator Solange can be heard screaming at Jay, “Don’t Ever Put Your F*ckin hands on me again!!!” Jay z replies to her, but was it was to low to be heard by our source. Solange Continued “Why didn’t you say that to her?!” “I’m not blue, I’m not your f*ckin daughter. You don’t tell me what to do. I’m a grown *** woman” Jay z whispers something else to her In which she replies as the elevator doors open and Beyonce walks in, “I will come where ever I want, Who the f*ck do you think you are?!” The elevator doors close.

Some of this makes since but I don't believe anything the media says. However, I can see Bey being mad at Jay for the way he spoke to Solo at the party if she stood up to Rachel Roy for doing the same thing. Maybe that explains why she didn't get involved in the elevator. I still can't see all of that alone making Solo that angry. IMO, Solo wasn't wasted so I'm not believing that her temper was alcohol-induced. It looks like her and Jay just don't get along for whatever reason and she also unleashed pinned up emotions.

^Do I believe Solange was drinking and tipsy?
Yes.

Do I believe Solange was drunk?
No. She managed to kung-fu kick while maintaining her balance.

I can barely squat and pee properly without clinging for dear life to the stall walls when I've had too much (and my tolerance is pretty incredible) let alone Bruce Lee someone in 4" heels with my wig, makeup and dress in check. Jay was still disheveled when they walked outside so it doesn't appear they had any real time to regain composure.

ETA: Of course anything is possible and alcohol played a factor. However, it seems like she's not allowed to be genuinely upset by something triggered by Jay without alcohol or drugs being involved.

 good point!

Beyonce has just taken to Instagram to show her love for her sister Solange Knowles after the big elevator fight between her sister and her husband Jay Z.

Earlier in the week, video footage was leaked of the 27-year-old singer attacking Jay Z in an elevator.

Beyonce and Jay Z have remained quiet on the subject until this morning, when she shared four very happy photos of her and her sister.

Only one photo contained a caption, which read, “Good Morning ”

We can only hope this means that Beyonce and her sister are all good after the incident!

Hmm, so did she really mean to cut Kelly out of the picture that they took with Aaliyah?

Sad shame !! Trying to make Solange out to be a drunk, crack head, having financial troubles, bipolar. It's ridiculous. Beyonce obviously approved of the beat down. That says enough for me.
really?
So you think it's ok to behave that way (esp in public) as long as Beyoncé think's it's OK?

Sheri and Whoopi on The View today were saying words to the effect that Solange seemed to be very angry. So what? Does that make it OK to physically attack your brother-in-law? and in public?

I think they mentioned that (on The View) to make the point that the motivation for the "attack" could have been a very big (and/or) deep-seated issue. The only times I've seen women go HAM like that is after they hit their breaking point, implying there was a long, consistent build-up of resentment.

It's interesting how people keep pointing out "You shouldn't act like that in public." I don't think you should act like that in private, either! If that's what goes on when they're aware of the CCTV, lord knows what kind of throwdowns are happening in the privacy of their own homes.

I also have to say I'm very impressed that no further info has come out about this issue, really. You know people will give up whatever for a dime. Their "camp" is pretty good about keeping tight-lipped. If this were a K story you know we'd have 700 "a source close to the KKlan" stories out by now.

uhm she did wait till she got in the elevator. You're acting like she did this on the red carpet or something. You might not get down like that and would prefer to use your words, but obviously Solange felt words were not enough. I bet if we actually heard what was being said Solange actions would be justified.

I guess we have to agree to disagree on this
No excuse for physical violence at home or in public.
Doesn't matter how mad she was IMO. This reflects very poorly on her.
Whatever grievance she had against him, she made him look like the better/classier person IMO.

I agree on this one. If Jay went after HER in the elevator, would people be saying at least he didn't do it in public? But because a woman went after a man, it's ok and he must have deserved it? Nah. No more double standards.
