After procrastinating long enough that the diversion started to feel more embarrassing than the act inevitably would, I finally clicked play on the black-and-white footage of*Solange attacking Jay Z in an elevator*at what was reportedly an after-party for a gala at the Met.
The video is both intensely personal*and hugely enigmatic.
A bodyguard appears to stop the elevator between floors to avoid the altercation from spilling out into a hallway. But while the fight was kept out of public view temporarily, what happens in that metal box is*the opposite of the*Knowles-Carters carefully cultivated public image. Solange Knowles flails at her brother-in-law, even after she is locked in a security mans bear hug, the force of her fury moving the big man around the elevator. Jay Z keeps his hands at his sides for much of the tape, though he catches his sister-in-laws foot when she kicks out at him.
Even as this little extended family is exposed by the footage, they are ghosts on it, too. There is no sound, so we have no context for Solanges rage, her sisters stillness or Jay Zs response. In the first "response" of any kind since the blowout fight between Solange and Jay Z, Beyonce posted four photos of her with her sister to her Instagram page early Wednesday morning.
Only one of the photos was captioned and it merely said, "good morning."
It's curious ... since Beyonce merely stood by and watched Solange go ballistic on Jay Z. Is she saying she's taking Solange's side in all this? Is she saying she supports her sister despite her being completely in the wrong?

Well, well, well, look who’s changing their plans. After making a big show of declining Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s wedding invitation last month, it looks like Beyoncé and Jay Z will attend after all. Good press is a powerful thing, people.
Last month, it was reported that Jay and Bey were planning to skip the nups because the ordeal was poised to be way too high-profile (read: they definitely thought they were too famous), but planned on treating KimYe to a $200,000 yacht honeymoon as an “we’ll make it up to you” gift.
According to RadarOnline though, Jay Z and Beyonce pulled an audible and decided RSVP yes after all, with Jay finally accepting BFF Kanye’s request to serve as Best Man.
“Jay sent a gift to Kanye with an inscription referring to Jay Z as the rapper’s ‘Best Man.’ The gift was a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted flask, delivered with a $10,000 bottle of scotch, for Kanye to have for his wedding day,” an insider told Radar
“Kanye was almost jumping up and down, he was so excited. He was running around Kris‘ house to find Kim saying, ‘Baby, look! Look! Jay and B are coming!”
However, the superstar couple refuses to be filmed at the wedding and at any festivities surrounding it.
“E! wants to shoot the rehearsal dinner, but Jay is putting his foot down. So the drama continues. Instead, Kim and Kanye are now in talks with Vogue to publish some wedding photos, after their cover did so well,” said the insider.
The source added: “Jay and Bey don’t mind that at all, as there will be a write-up with it, and they can promote their dual tour.”
Radar is reporting that Kardashian and West have got a lot of backlash from their friends about the wedding plans, so they scaled back filming plans with the E! Network and made certain parts off limits — for instance, using their daughter North West as a pawn.
“They used the loophole in Nori’s contract that they can say no to any life moment she is a part of being filmed, so it would not be in breach of contract,” the source revealed.
The wedding will take place in Paris on May 24.

I don't believe that story. But I do believe they would attend. They may not be BFFs. But they are friends.

You also don't have to be drunk just because you are drinking.Some people get drunk on two drinks, some people need 10 drinks to get drunk.

7:10 AM PT -- Solange's rep says she wasn't in NYC. However, we were told by Mr. Flawless himself that he personally waited on Jay Z and Solange ... and was specific as to how long they were there and where they were looking inside the store.
We also spoke with a famous NYC DJ who happened to be outside the store, and also insists he saw Jay Z and Solange coming out of the store and getting into a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon and drive off.
Jay Z and Solange Knowles went looking for jewelry together Tuesday afternoon at a high-end NYC jewelry store ... TMZ has learned.
Our sources connected with the store say Jay and Solange were in Mr. Flawless, where they were looking for women's jewelry for around 20 minutes.
We're told the pair showed no signs of strife, and looked at gems with Mr. Flawless himself. They looked, but tried nothing on. They left the store without buying anything.
Jay and Solange didn't talk much inside the store ... they pretty much just browsed quietly.
