I think they are going to let me send private messages today ! (i'm on the brink of day 5 , once i can i will shoot you an message right away. I've already booked a hotel and such in gangnum -.- so its all systems ready for me.
Also i have never had plastic surgery either ! but it would be nice to explore seoul while recovering (if possible)

Dr Kim used silicon implant for my bridge and septal (nose) cartilage for my tip. He warned me that if I didn't have sufficient septal cartilage, he would take cartilage from my ear. I guess I had enough septal cartilage because none was taken from my ear. I prefer septal cartilage because there is a very small chance of absorption. I did not go under general anesthesia. I think they gave me sedation anesthesia. I think if you are getting an osteotomy (breaking of bones) for your nose, then yes you will most likely go under general anesthesia.
I think it all depends on what kind of nose you want. That is, a drastic vs. subtle change. Dr Kim is quite honest about your expectations. He will ask you what you want done to your nose, ie high bridge, small nose, pointy tip. If he doesn't think that's suitable for your face, he will tell you. If you want a dramatic change, he will tell you whether or not that's doable. I really like Dr Kim because for one, he's very honest and also he took the time out to answer any questions I had and didn't try to sell me any other procedures. So far I do like my results. I think that my face is balanced and harmonized. At first, I did have a minor freak out because of the swelling. But I'm almost 5 weeks post op and it seems like everything is settling. As mentioned my tip is still a bit swollen but its not hideous either.

I met two wonderful ladies in purseforum and we are planning to go for consutation on our own on 27th Feb, have also engaged for Zoe on 28th Feb, we would want to operate on 29th Feb. We've booked a triple room in a cozy boutique hotel in gangnam area. We are doing BA, mini- facelift, eyes, nose and tuck. Join us if you ike, the more the merrier (the more the cheaper hehe...we would hope so!!!)
Sorry to hear about your friend. A responsible doc should reply a patient quarries even after the op. I hope she succeed in getting her desired results on her revision.
According to Regen's website, they said they have chinese and english translators. But... according to several forum members who went there, they only have chinese translators. I suspect even if they have english translators, they are not available or... they can't communicate that well. lol. Anyway, I am not risking that chance when I visit Regen on 27th Feb. I have hired my own english translator
