Hi girls I joined this web so I can comment in this forum, anyone has done surgery in face sculpting and breast augmentation in Korea before and can share their experiences? I am thinking of going Korea sometime this year, anyone else going so we can join and go together?

CHICBABE: are you guys going just only for consultation or after consultation will you deicide to stay there for surgery?

I was supposed to be there early Mar but Zoe said 1 Mar is a public holiday in Korea so I postponed it to 3rd week of Mar since Zoe is quite fully booked. How about you? Have you decided on traveling date?

Yes I'm going in about 4 weeks, we are using Zoe as well so I will keep you informed of the progress. I will be in Korea until about the 10th of March if you are there at the same time PM me! :D

Hi illumi,

I have rescheduled my trip to March. When are you planning to go?

Hi, I'm going on March 16 and will be staying until 25 March. I'm doing revisional eyelid and nose. VIP is currently at my top list as Im impressed with their B&A pics ;) however i also considered Banobagi and Regen, and Teuim for eyes only. If you're there, mayb we could catch up.

Hi Jadehee: I'm headed to VIP on 1/17 until 2/2. I wanted to sightsee while in the area. I'm down for a little adventure...as long as it's post "nose job" friendly. : )

Hi Elleah, as I'm planning to go to VIP and read that you're going to VIP too, may I know how's your result? Cheers.

i just did it recently at BK Dony Yang by Dr Ho and i am loving the result. price is a hefty but then it wasn't the first time i try to fix my ptosis issue. so the surgery is base on revision. and revision eyelid surgery tend to be a little more expensive. i did ptosis correction with epicantoplasty. the inbalance is not longer an issue for me and because of the correction, i now have a much wider and larger eye. i am planning to go back again for nose job.

Hi, has anyone did Ptosis b4 due to unbalanced size for both eyes?

i'm not sure about the bad review for BK. i just had my eyelid correction surgery done there and i am extremely satisfied with my result. mind you its been less than a month since my surgey, and my eye is still some what swollen. but base on what i can see now, the result will be very satisfying once the swelling subsided. perharps you would be better off with a different surgeon at BK. seem like every one choose Dr Kim as their surgeon. initially i didn't know who to turn to when i did the surgery. a consultant there suggested that i go with Dr Ho for eye revision as he is a specialist in this field. he doesn't speak english as well as Dr Kim i assume, but i bet his skilled far surpasses his. i will have a nose job done by Dr Ho again.

Hi sweet hunter...
Is BK dongyang really that bad as its one of the clinics im consulting this march. I really hope you could help me out in deciding... thanks

Hello :)

Dr Kim used silicon implant for my bridge and septal (nose) cartilage for my tip. He warned me that if I didn't have sufficient septal cartilage, he would take cartilage from my ear. I guess I had enough septal cartilage because none was taken from my ear. I prefer septal cartilage because there is a very small chance of absorption. I did not go under general anesthesia. I think they gave me sedation anesthesia. I think if you are getting an osteotomy (breaking of bones) for your nose, then yes you will most likely go under general anesthesia.

I think it all depends on what kind of nose you want. That is, a drastic vs. subtle change. Dr Kim is quite honest about your expectations. He will ask you what you want done to your nose, ie high bridge, small nose, pointy tip. If he doesn't think that's suitable for your face, he will tell you. If you want a dramatic change, he will tell you whether or not that's doable. I really like Dr Kim because for one, he's very honest and also he took the time out to answer any questions I had and didn't try to sell me any other procedures. So far I do like my results. I think that my face is balanced and harmonized. At first, I did have a minor freak out because of the swelling. But I'm almost 5 weeks post op and it seems like everything is settling. As mentioned my tip is still a bit swollen but its not hideous either.
hi,
I have to get cartilege too and VIP told me to get it from my rib. Just the quoted price was 10k which is more than I was expecting. Do you mind telling me what clinic u went to and around what the total cost of yours was? I was just wondering with less anesthesia I think its safer but were u awake??

thanks!

Ok I'm going to tell you and everyone how I know the clinic advertise in the forum... Because I saw it with my own eyes! I went to a certain well known clinic and saw the girl at the front with the purse forum page open... She closed very quickly but i saw it!!!

Ok so.. in Australia you do a science degree or a medical degree but it doesn't mean u are qualified to be a doctor! Same with korea, just because you have a medical degree does not mean you are a plastic surgeon. Just because you studied under someone to do eyes does not mean you are qualified to do the nose... Get it? Lack of policy, law, procedures mean anyone with a medical degree can open a clinic up and be a plastic surgeon... Look at how mant there are in gangnam gu itself! If everyone is so experienced why are there hundred of surgery places? Because it's easy to open and it's not regulated.
that is so scary!! I really use this forum as my main research because I don't speak korean. But its kinda like that in US too because a lot of the popular ones like Sam Rizk will say their board certified facial plastic surgeons, BUT thats totally different from Board Certified Plastic Surgeon which is like top 1% with tons more training. But at least in NYC there rules and lawsuits to keep bad doctors in line. Sigh, I've been procrastinating for 2 months now there's just much info to go through. Do you by chance know any good ones in Korea?

I actually never sent them emails and I got this email address from their website.

If you are going next week, call them now. Dr. Yun gave me his card and there is a cell phone number on it: 010-4626-6871. If you still can't reach them, just go for a walk-in consultation. here is their address: http://www.ynybeauty.com/english/yny_english4.htm.

I remember that I took subway green line (line 2) and got off at Gamnam station, took exit 10 and walk straight. their building is next to the close store Mexx II on the 3rd floor.

mine is double suture eyelid. It is said simple and firm (simpler than incision and firmer than tranditional single suture)

my friend did not recommend any other clinic.

I posted my after picture on my profile
