So, I know a few people wanted to know the name of the lazer clinic that I went to and got my freckles removed. The website is: www.lamiche.co.kr

I know that its in Korean, but my friend found it and had a chat with the consultant inside early one day and I went with her later that night after she ad checked it out and gave me a big thumbs up. There's lots of skin clinics in Seoul but the whole lazer skin thing was really new to me, so I can only base my experience on this clinic, and like I've said before, it's top notch! :-)

wow... finally i'm done with 468 pages of posts... took me couple of weeks to clear that and with the info noted down on papers as i go along much questions have been clarified.... like wat hkp mention in one of her earlier posting #4530 "you wun have questions to ask"

shocked with some 'happenings' gg on midway but that aside, many thanks to pple who share their geniuine experiences and when my time comes for these surgeries, i'll give back to the forum like you guys did... (thou that may be couple of years down the road, after i'm done with liposuction)

till then to those who are recovering... its tough but the worst is already over, jus give yourself time with the deswelling and most importantly is to keep a positive mindset to ease the anxiety during recover period...

lastly, dan4me, whenever you are free could you also sent me ur b&a pix... thou i've already seen those u have posted earlier... perhaps other after pix u have taken which have not been posted?

p.s i dreamt i actually went for rhino and mandible reduction last night... its really like a how to say.... i was able to predict how i look like with my face bandaged up based on descriptions from pple who have gone thru it.... woke up feeling pretty amazing! ~LOL! *that could only mean i'm too engross reading up till i actually dream of it*

Quick question, how to tell if the surgeons are licensed? Other than his graduate certificate from university.

binnes

That's a good question. Most plastic surgery clinics will have their surgeon's bio on their website. You can see where they studied and what they have done in their plastic surgery field. For instance, for JW's Dr. Suh, it says:
Plastic surgery specialist
Graduated Yonsei University College of Medicine
Completed graduate program from Yonsei University College of Medicine
Completed training in plastic surgery at Yonsei Severance Hospital
Visiting clinical professor at Yonsei University College of Medicine
Chang Gung Memorial Hospital
Trained at the plastic surgery center at Chang Gung Mem. Hospital
Attended a postgraduate course of International Society of
Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons in Germany

You can see he received ps training at a University, which University, and where he went from there.

Also, make sure the clinic you go to is an ACTUAL plastic surgery clinic. I wrote about this a while ago on this thread.

Hello! I will certainly do for you! She seemed really nice and we are still communicating via emails. What type of procedure have you done, if you don't mind me asking :-)

Hi! I had tiplasty using septal cartilage only. No bridge augmentation, just the tip :)

Hello again! Thank you for your tip and I wish you're happy with the result!!! So far, Yumi has been helpful with my queries. I am going to have primary rhinoplasty and revision double eye lids, hopefully fat microelectronic into my nasolabial if necessary. Hope you had a pleasant time in Seoul too :D

WOW! It's 5,000 krw to remove a mole at this place!!! O.O
And only 980,000 krw to have an injection cocktail (chin botox, ulssera130 shot(??) and ppc) to create a V-line!
And they have an acne clinic!! :O

Hello!

Long time reader, first time poster.

I would like to share with you my experience with consultations I had this past September. Not a lot of people seem to be interested in two-jaw surgery though...

I have a long face, gummy smile, and when relaxed, my mouth just hangs open. My mouth protudes a bit as well. I wanted to pursue surgery three years ago during my very first trip to Seoul. I went for consultations at a couple of clinics and realized I didn't do enough research and I wasn't ready.

I went to Seoul for personal reasons for 10 days in September. I read through this whole forum and decided to consult for surgery. I made only two appointments prior to leaving for Seoul. One at atbeauty and the other at ID.

AtBeauty (atro.co.kr) - I chose to consult here because Dr. Park advertises 19 years of no mistakes, specializes in two-jaw surgery and protruding mouth, and only performs one surgery a day. He also has great reviews from the locals. When I met Dr. Park, I thought he was the correct choice. He was very detailed with me and made me feel very comfortable. He told me I have a very slight asymmetrical face (something I only noticed weeks before) and with two-jaw surgery and v-line, he can make it more symmetrical. At the same time, he suggested endotine to prevent sagging skin, because after the jaw and v-line, the "longer" side of my face will have "extra" skin. Braces are a must and have to be looked after by his orthodontist ONLY. I would have to fly back to Korea at least 4 more times. Other than that, Dr. Park is seems wonderful. He even told me that he waits for the patient to wake up for GA, see if he/she is okay, waits for the patient to fall back asleep, AND THEN leave for the day.
Price: Two-jaw surgery + v-line + sliding genio + braces + endotine = 26 mil won... but I brought it down to 20 mil won.

ID Hospital - I did not have a good experience here. I made an appointment to see Dr. Sanghoon Park. My aunt knows Dr. Park personally (although I didn't mention it to the consultany... I was planning on telling Dr. Park when he was meeting me). The consultant - for some unknown reason - was pushing another doctor onto me and kept pushing. I ended up meeting that other doctor (don't even remember his name) and was totally unimpressed by him. He was so wishy-washy in terms of whether or not I need braces - he didn't really care at all. Left the hospital realizing that ID is too business-oriented...
Price: 14 mil won

YK Plastic Surgery (yk5151.com) - My uncle found out that ID was not good so he asked his friend (who is a filler/botox distributer) if he knew anyone good at two-jaw surgery. We went to this clinic, but I felt a little nervous by the way Dr. Kim made two-jaw surgery sound so easy. Other than that, the consultation went great. He was very straight-forward with his diagnosis. He said braces are not required unless I really want them...
Price: two-jaw surgery + v-line + sliding genio = 14 mil won

I was torn between atbeauty and YK. I was leaning towards atbeauty, but my mom wanted me to consult more places. We made a quick appointment with faceline, and by "Six Degrees of Separation" we got an appointment at Grand.

Faceline - I did not like this place one bit. I don't trust that a doctor can consult without a proper x-ray or CT scan. I went in there knowing I did not want surgery there.
Price: I don't remember. Probably around 15-16 mil won.

Grand - I received special treatment here. There were many phone calls to get my appointment. Imagine the game broken telephone. I had a consultation with Dr. Kang Nara, a maxillofacial surgeon (not plastic surgeon). Dr. Kang was so detailed. He said the shape of my jawline does not need v-line (unless I REALLY want to) and only two-jaw surgery is needed. Braces are a MUST. Dr. Kang works closely with an orthodontist nearby, and he advised me that I can have another orthodontist in my own country adjust the braces after surgery. I ended up choosing Grand because I felt comfortable with this doctor and I believe that since he is a maxillofacial surgeon (not just a plastic surgeon), he knows my needs. I only really want to shorten my face.
Price: Two-jaw surgery + sliding genio = ?? mil won
braces = 5 mil won

I currently have braces on and will have them on for approx. 9 to 10 months after surgery. My surgery is scheduled for mid-November. If things turn out good, I might use my new connections for further surgeries (maybe v-line if asymmetry begins to bother me too much...)

Just want to say that if you have family or friends in Seoul who know good surgeons or know of good surgeons, please consult with them!!
Hi kimjoo,

Thanks for sharing your very detailed experience. I benefit a lot from that. Do you already had the surgery with Grand. How you feel like now?

I was wondering if you guys went to the clinic alone or with friends to lower the price. The price they quoted to me is quite high. I had contacted ID and regen regarding the vline and cheekbone reduction. The regen is overpriced I think. Do you guys have any experience with regen. It seems very famous among local,am I right?

Hello hello!!! I will be there too by myself around the same period. Let me know if you wish to meet up for FOOD!! Yes! ESP spicy food ;)

Yes I would like to hang out!!! What are you doing, and where are you planning to go...?

Have you been reading up on post operative care? NO SPICY FOOD, lady! But i am a sucker for hot stuff too. it will be us vs. delicious spicy food :)

Ahh ok cause when I was there there's another forumer from Thai did the exact same thing as me at ID. She hired Zoe as translator too. I went to visit her and found out the price she paid is so much more than what ID quoted me. I guess it's depends on persons then.. Zoe is a really nice girl we chatted a lot in the recovery room. Like I said if you are going through the surgery alone is good to hire a translator like her cause u won't make it alone its hell.

ID quoted me 11mil for zygoma+vline and 2mil for rhino. So it's about 13mil, and my friend paid 16mil for the same thing.. Maybe she's not good at bargaining lol...you had yourself really good deal though with the fat Graft!!! I wonder if they can do fat Gradt for breast augmentation.. O.o I'm tempted cause after my surgeries I lost weight like crazy and my boobies are gone +.='
Angel82,you said "ID quoted me 11mil for zygoma+vline and 2mil for rhino. So it's about 13mil" . 11mil for zygoma+vline(or mandible reduction?),is it the price after bargaining or the original price? I asked about this since they charge 5.5 mil for zygoma and 8.5 mil for vline from their website.
