I used to love loccitane hand cream too, but now I've found a great hand cream for very dry skin. It's the clarins moisture rich body lotion, which works as hand cream too. I thought the loccitane shea butter hand cream is the best, but the clarins one is better. My hands is smooth and moisturised. Try it, you might love it.

Yes i have similar yours but not snow winter in Sydney Australia

Khiel 'ultimate strength hand salve' is perfectly works for me during inflight, overseas traveling and everyday wearing instead Aveda and l'occitane

Before i tried l'occitane light cream which didnt long lasting like khiel did

For when your hands are particularly troubling you I'd suggest trying Dr Wheatgrass products, either Superbalm or Skin Recovery Cream. Available on Amazon I think. The scent is nothing special but it works brilliantly on problem skin - I use it on my hands, elbows and heels and my DH uses it when he gets (surf)board rash.
My regular daily hand cream is Aesop but for extra care the Dr Wheatgrass creams are fantastic.

Elizabeth Arden 8 hr might be worth trying. I haven't used it in a long time but it's easy to find and not too pricey.

I'm a physician and am constantly washing my hands, leaving them dry and chapped. I find that the m61 (skincare line from Blue Mercury) vitamin C hand cream works best for me. I use a big dollop at nighttime and it soaks in beautifully and keeps my hands and cuticles from getting cracked during the day. In the coldest winter months I'll mix the hand cream with a drop or two of argan oil before I rub it in and that REALLY protects my hands from the cold!

oh no... not as a hand cream! it has the consistency of vaseline, but slightly more fluid. tbh, it's not that great. i only use it as a lip balm, but it's comparable to vaseline/homeplasmine/aquaphor.

la roche posay lait lipikar is really good! i have a large pump bottle of it at home. for on the go neutrogena's hand cream is very moisturizing

Every fancy hand cream I've ever had has only worked to an extent. They either absorb really well, leaving my hands temporarily soft & moisturized, but wares off in like 10 minutes, that I feel I need to reapply it constantly, or it's a thick cream that leaves my skin feeling moisturized for as long as I can bare to keep the filmy, or thick greasy coating on my skin {... I always end up wiping it off!}


Dr Organic is a brand that I not only swear by, but is completely made up of natural & organic ingredients, paraben free, SLS free, no artificial colors, fragrances or harsh preservatives, no animal testing or animal ingredients.


I'm happy to ditch all of my fancy hand creams for this not so fancy package because I actually get the results I want.


Dr Organic Vitamin E cream works like a dream.


The argon oil & royal jelly collections are just as great.

Thanks for the further suggestions! Yesterday, I picked up a tube of Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream. I really like this product. It is a bit on the greasy side, but I just rinse off my hands a bit after applying and they still feel moisturized and soft. I think that during the winter, I will get a lot of use out of this.

There are no hand creams that equal the moisturizing benefits of Amlactin. The tube is $14.00 but well worth the money, I don't even bother with anything else anymore, this is the best.
