Currently I only use totes/satchels as work bags, but I don't carry much (a card case, coin purse, cosmetic bag, cell phone, car key, a pen and flash drive). I will swing towards PM if can be used as a work bag. May consider getting a black empreinte!

I have the Gucci Disco in black and like it a lot, but I think the Pochette Metis in empreinte noir will be better for you. Your items will be organised inside when you travel and you can wear it carrying by the top handle in the evenings with or without the strap attached. From what I've read in the LV forum, those who already own one seem to be very happy.
I voted for Gucci Soho Disco - black. I have one and I purchased it for my trip to Vancouver last year. I love how it is crossbody and hands free (I have 2 DS). It has a zipper which was an important consideration for my desire for security of items while traveling. It is a small sized bag that fits a lot. I knew we would do a lot of walking and this bag fit the bill for a lightweight, secure, crossbody, travel bag. Good luck with your decision!
I love Marmont in nude! They are so lovely! I have one in flap bag but I would go for Pochette Metis then followed by Gucci Soho for this case because marmont bag is quite prone to scratch from my experience. So I feel that to get something which will keep you less worry will be a better choice since you will be bringing your lil one 
I think LV south bank is most perfect for traveling, but since you mentioned semi-business nature of your trip then I agree with the Pochette Metis in black leather recommendation! I’m thinking of getting it myself in the summer

Would love to see your go to crossbody bag for travel. Something that is big enough to hold phone, wallet, keys, but not super huge.

Coach Nolita 19 has been with me on numerous trips. It fits my iPhone 6S, LV 6 key holder and a card holder + lipstick or a travel size perfume, which is basically what I prefer to keep at hand when I travel.
I use it with a long chain strap I got from Amazon, and the short chain strap is handy for when you want to use it as a clutch or carry it as a wristlet.

I have this Prada nylon crossbody bag, bought it in 2018 for a trip to Paris. I cannot recommend it highly enough for travel. I liked it so much I started using it at home as a daily errand running or walking bag. Not too big, lightweight, durable, sits flat against the body, easy access to phone, passport, etc. yet secure. I've even put a water bottle and folding umbrella in it. It is a workhorse of my bag collection. There are newer versions. I also have an LV Pochette Accessoire but this holds a lot more.
I usually use my mon monogram LV Speedy B 30 or my medium puzzle. Both are great to fit all necessities and potential extra buys, but are lightweight.
