Best and worst Hermes purchase of 2024?

Best purchase: the only two bags I got (B25 SO and MK gold with PHW), Fresh boots
Worst purchase: I don't even know what the name is anymore but it's a pair of loafers. I don't understand why Hermes has such stiff shoes! Every time I wear them, I say a little prayer and pack lots of bandaids.

Honestly, I really enjoy most of the things that I got from Hermes this past year. Hopefully, I can continue that trend!

Best:

Passport cover in H Odyssey graphic on swift - surprisingly one of the things that brings me joy when I travel through the terminals. Much easier to take out your passport out of then those plastic slip ons they always demand you take off anyways

B25 in Toundra - glad I waited out for this instead of accepting a toile swift. It has become “my” color

Surchemise zip in cotton: summer throw on shirt with built in pockets and clever design trickers a la H style

Worst:

Jaime Ankle boot - way too hard to access and zip up with all the buckles. Also quite heavy. I’m more of a pull on or slip on person and I have forgone many shoes with laces even. YMMV but I never had good luck with H shoes (leather boots and Birkenstocks preferred)

I broke into royal loafers after 2 years and tons of blisters. I don't plan on adding even if I like new styles/colors :)

I haven’t really used a synthetic pantsuit (matching pants and zip jacket in navy) with H zip pull

I originally purchased it thinking it would be ideal for travel. Haven’t really used it yet bc it’s so classic and plain. . .lol

Making a note to pull it out for my next trip

If that’s my worst purchase ^,
then my best, most used (fall winter 2024) might be my alpaca hoodie trimmed with ebene leather. Very under the radar; warm; fine layered in some inclement weather from moderate temps to apres ski; and good on airplanes. Large enough for layers to slide under it. Squishy enough that a top coat can slide over it

Feels cuddly; looks unassuming IYKYK
(My FIL assumed it was a polar fleece ;)
Here with my etoupe so Kelly elan which has become my most useful bag

Thoughtful thread!

Best bag: This year I managed to buy 2 bags. Both of them make me so happy with their colors and hardware. But the best one is the one that hasn’t arrived yet 😂

Best non-bag: Definitely my cashmere coat. God, I’m in love.

As a bonus: My H cardigan that I got around 500 Euros during the Paris sale 😂😂😂. It was something I really wanted, but I could never find my size in the store. Getting it on sale was the bonus of the year!

I love this thread and everyone sharing some really good insights.

Best bag: K28 in black box. My most awaited bag - I bought only one handbag in the past 7 years (H and non-H) because nothing came close to this perfection

Best non-bag: Soleil d'Hermes mugs - I am slowly completing the full tableware set and the mugs where very low on my list but they're the ones I use the most.

Worst: I don't regret it but I purchased my first scarf ring and have worn it once - and not as intended but rather to tie an H silk scarf as a little bag. It serves really well to tie all corners to a center point and hold the bag by a little flat metal piece. I think I will be getting more use out of it this way than its original purpose.

This is a super cute idea! You must show us how you tie it!
